Wow, brings back memories of the 80's. I would of been about 15 yrs old at that time! It's almost like this video was taken yesterday! Thanks for sharing.
I really believe that Gil's videos will be used in 2050 and on to look at the past. There aren't many day to day long videos of everyday life like these on the internet. I'm sure Gil will be talked about for making the best collections of 80s and 90s home videos.
@@OPTIONALWATCH I think the same. I see Gil becoming one of if not the most subscribed to TH-camrs decades from now. He'll be looked back on as an Internet legend.
Thanks for sharing. Definitely a time capsule. This brings back memories before the cell phone and internet addiction. These where the simple basic times. It feels so weird seeing footage from back then and the life we live in now. People being people. Look us now just zombies on smart phones and social media.
3:52 - all those groceries probably cost like $13 😂😂😂 That's one thing about watching Gil's videos. When you listen closely, you hear the most archaic and unreal things as it related to figures. I think somewhere early in this video, Gil mentions working for a coffee shop for $40 a week. Gil's family seem like such peaceful people.
That's a good question!!!! Good one. Im going to post a video about that!! For the quick answer. I feel sort of sad. Because I felt so young then! And I had no grey hair I just looked so young!
"that's when my mom got off the phone,"(you showing it was a 30+ minutes call) cuts to your mom dancing for your video 9:38. best part. whole video was great though :D
One time when I was 13 my parents brought me a dream car it was a black 1988 Ford crown Victoria Ltd it was 2019 I was like back in 1988 and a 1998 Buick park avenue it’s like I’m in 1988 and 1998
Gil u have mexican roots? Nice videos bro i was born in 1990 xD ass a kid in 90's i can say yeah it was a cool decade but i remember more of late 90s and early 2000 ..and all change fast .. now im 28 xD greetings from Bolivia.
Hey Gilbert since things werent so known so much about people who might need a little extra help or attention... how did people treat you that didnt know you needed a lil extra attention? Its okay you dont have to answer
This is ANOTHER good question!! I got to make a video about this! Good one! Yeah you are right. about the fact that " things weren't so known".. YES INDEED. Since we did not have youtube or facebook to help "spread" our selves. Since these can reach thousands of people rather than just a certain set of people only back then
To quickly answer this. Well. In the reality back in my day. I did complain about not being paid proper attention to. During my days I often came around times when me, my brothers or a certain person are all hanging out in a spot somewhere. Pretty much EVERYTIME, people would come up to the other person and say Hi to them. And me?? haha, very seldom anyone paid attention to me. Apparently, likely because I was not into my looks or latest clothes. That's the way it was for me. And MAN, it was BAD! It was a big complaint that people typically "forget" that I'm there. This included my mom and my brother. But especially any of the "hot shot" type people
Only channel that I sit through all the ads, help Gil out👍
LOL
i have yet to see an ad
Just admire seeing your mom in these videos. She provided for her family. She’s such a hard worker.
I agree 100%.
