I wish when a 4 stroke review is done that fuel mileage is addressed? Every Polaris review done says it gets good mileage but nobody gives numbers! I know trail conditions affect this but Fill up a tank, drive until your empty then tell us you went 250 miles on 11 gallons of gas! Easy to do
I have a pair of '08 Polaris's FST's [four stroke turbo 750cc] that I've had for over 14 years, I'm not sure I'm ready to give them up for 100hp vs the 145 I have now., I only put 800 or so miles a year on them and other than losing an alternator last year they've been great, 17mpg running northern Ontario trails at 70-90mph all day long, I'm over 10k miles now but I've seen the same machines in Quebec with 30-40k on them Hopefully they come out with a turbo version to compete with the Skidoo
I’ve got 2300 km on my Indy prostar now. Fuel mileage improving and really like the sled. Pushes a bit on corners. I may try single rods. Anybody have thoughts on this???
I'm 34 years old I'm not a crazy driver and I don't need a extremely fast sled. This Indy XC S4 is the sled I'm getting very soon. I dont like the two stroke sleds because they are lawder and they smell and they are very smoky.
@@TheChadColby Yes its very affordable for a new sled . Easy to ride and less maintenance then a 2 stroke. It's less smelly than a 2 stroke and more fuel efficient than a 2 stroke. That why I want to have a sled that doesn't have so much things to worry about well you are on the trails and something that I will enjoy for a long time. That is why the Polaris ProStare S4 India XC 134 is the sled I'm going to get an enjoy it and I will never sell it for any other sled
haha, dont kid yourself I still rather be on XCR!! But was great sharing experience with my wife and that sled was REALLY NICE. Hard to image putting someone new on 650 today.
I love a fast two stroke, but the older i get i want the best of both worlds. reliability and fast/light. One for the wife one for me :)
This was informational. I’m thinking of getting one of these now that I’m old. Thanks Chad
you wont be disappointed at all, really nice sled.

Sorry, we talked about that. But this was the sleds first trip out and definitely NOT broken in, that was the only reason we didnt it.

These are COMPLETELY different feeling than those FST's. try to test one if you can.
I’ve got a 2023 S4 Prostar Indy 137. So far it’s good. I’d say fuel mileage average. Not as good as skidoo ace models. Only 1000 km so far

Why does Polaris step 20 years backwards in regards 4-stroke engines for their snowmobiles?
Whats the fuel consumption ?

You will ready like this sled, I was totally surprised how "sporty" it still feels.
