Hey, great video. I felt so strange watching this because, in the side-by-side comparison at the end, the Elgato looked noticeably better than the 360. I watched the video again, but instead of my 65in tv, I watched it on my phone. The 360 looked comparable to the Elgato on a much smaller screen. This made me realize that the detail (like your excellent fade) is less clear on the 360. I also preferred the lighting you had on the Elgato. What is causing the 360 to have less detail than the Elgato? I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
My thought is that the Elgato has a consistent quality/look across all resolutions, where as the insta360 mainly shines when using the 4K it offers. Insta360 lacks sharpness in 1080p, but the Elgato looks to have some sort of hazy screen in its raw form which can be improved by adding filters to the camera source.
Also from my testing, the same lighting (if not straight up day light) cannot apply to both cameras equally. The setting you’re in has to be tuned to match the look you’re going for. Elgato seems to have more flexibility in the lighting you can set with it for it to still look pretty good.

Personally, i think the only thing that's going for the insta360 is the vertical mode in streaming mode, the quirks that make it unique arent really useful for your average person using a webcam. If you have a zoom meeting, youre just sitting there. The only person that "might" use the features of it are the person presenting. Even then, that was only really useful during covid when people worked from home.
The elgato is better for that 4k60 resolution. Plus, Elgato products are getting cheaper and cheaper to buy so having one software to vontrol multiple devices is super convenient. Streamdecks are getting cheaper too, so having that software align with the webcam is really nice.
360 is more of a gimmick. Like you said, most streamers just have their webcam scaled down in the corner, but when you want to blow it up to the full screen, elgato looks way better with its wider field of view.

I have read the reviews that Insta360 link has audio sync issues when recorded in 4k. Anyone knows if that is resolved. Otherwise I am very impressed and have been keeping an eye on it. Need to buy a webcam in couple of months but Audio Sync issue has been stopping me as I don't want to sync the audio in post.
why is the maximum I can watch this video is 1080p if you're trying to show us how they both look in 4k? 🤔🤔

Nice video. But in the preview section below, just it allows 2160p - 60 fps. Where is 4k?? Also, does it work in every computer for 4k 60 fps?

Love it to see how this Devices work with MacOS. Something i doesnt know was that the Syphon Client does not work anymore. Still searching for a fix for that Problem so i can use transparency for the Videofootage. That sucks. I am using Bootcamp too, with Windows 10 i only get 720P with the Elgato FaceCam Pro. It makes me angry for that price, so i had Transparency but only 720P... Not all perfect for MacOS-Users. I truly dont understand why they do not fix the Syphon Client Problem.
Hey midnight sorry for the late response to the video but I really need help with a situation, it involves the How To Use ONE Mic / Headset and Capture Card with PS5 (EASY) video you see everything works perfectly except my party members cannot hear me idk what is wrong but it is not picking up my mic input
If you’re using a second account method, you will have to use a second usb mic plugged into the PS5 so you can be heard.

Hello bro, I have a question for you if you help me i will be happy, I want to buy a laptop for streaming on TH-cam with a racing game but i don’t have a pc so because of that i want to buy a laptop so which type of laptop should i buy that will serve me well?
I say any gaming laptop, I don’t know how intensive the racing game is or your budget. But I have a whole list of computers here I recommend, try to pair up something in your price range that also matches over the minimum specs of the racing game. Stay away from machines that don’t have a dedicated graphics. I just returned my Insta360 Link, in 1080p, couldnt get it to look as good as my Facecam (regular non pro)!! tried over 1 week, with multiple help and the Insta360 is more washed out then even the regular Facecam, and Insta360 even agreed when they looked at my VOD on twitch!! They said that the look on their camera was within the threshold of normal operating!??!!?!?!?!?? I was like, I paid 120 for my Facecam and your 300 camera doesnt look as good, LOVED the gimbal but im not going to downgrade for live streaming for just having a gimbal for 300.00!!
Nice review! I just find it a bit pity that you make a video about 4k webcams and the video quality is just 1080p... It's like testing sport cars while driving just up to 60Mph...

Insta360 looked much better in 4K than Elgato. But you kept it in 1080p for the comparison (and setup guide)? It looks terrible in 1080. You only showed a short clip in 4K and it surprised me a lot. I'm still wondering which to buy

@@MidnightMan you have an impressive image quality with that thing, seems to be quite a lot better in image quality compared to the often mentioned Sony ezv10, guess it's not the same price range? Or is it the optics/lens you are using?
11:30 Colors are awful: Elgato is magenta, DJI is kinda orange. Both lack tint control - the feature all reviewers conveniently forget to mention.
He has purple magenta lights in his room so of course he looks magenta. 😂
Got an Opal C1 lying around to compare it to? No windows support yet, but i'd be curious to what the results of that would be. Sensor is supposedly something straight out of their smartphones.

To me the color balance is much better on the Inta360.

That wasn’t the goal really, it was to use their software not mine. I still by Insta360 being a little better, tighter shot and has way more features. Facecam is still amazing though.
Strange. I watched a lot of videos about the Insta360 and the picture quality was a bit better than on your video. It almost looks like you are recording with a lens filter to soften the image.

Not necessarily, paying for them just means you wanted to buy them. My review is unbiased and based on my experience with the cameras. I don’t use any webcams personally because I have a full mirrorless camera rig setup.
They didn't pay me they just sent me $600 in product for free but they didn't pay me lol ok
