This is the only nålbinding video I've found that I could actually follow and achieve a successful result. Every other one I've tried to follow has resulted in a complete mess. If you ever have the time, I would love to see a video about turning and working subsequent rows, and perhaps also working in the round. But thank you so much for this video!
I'm glad this video helped you! There are so many great videos on Nalbinding, but everyone learns a little differently and what works for one person doesn't always work for another. I wish I had the time to work on the follow up videos, hopefully some day soon!
Unfortunately no, around the time you made this comment I started a new job that took over all my time for making craft videos. I'm only just now making time to respond to comments on this channel. I wish I could return to making crafting videos and hope to do so at some point in the future.
I'm glad it was helpful, I originally filmed this video as an add on to an in person class, so I'm glad (and a little surprised) it is so helpful just on it's own.
Excellent video for beginners! There is such clear explanation and visual representation showing exactly what to look for. :) I'm not new to nalbinding but when I was learning, tutorials in English were nearly non-existant. I watched a Finnish person show me how she learned from her grandmothers :) This video has a great amount of information that beginners & people wanting to learn now are lucky to have available to them. The only thing I would ask you to add is a video on how to connect the stitches and work rows in the round as well as how to begin a round start for things like toe up socks, finger tips to wrist mittens or top down hats. Liked & subscribed. ^_^
Thank you for the kind feedback! I do have the raw footage for working in the round, but sadly do not have the time to process and upload it since I started a new job.
If you're making a bit thicker version of the 2+2, try 2+3 which makes it a little dense. You can join the ends of the previous row, either F1 (front 1 ,one new) or F2 (front 2,one new and one old).
i would like to add when learning and i am a tatter the comments that were made in your review were harsh on your instruction i taught needle tatting and it’s a lot like what you are teaching good luck ladies and gentleman on finding a good teacher that goes out of there way to slow down enough for you to see what there doing and explaining it over and over asking you to say it out loud to your self untill you get it it’s part of learning it there were 3 teachers in the class one of the students whome asked am i going to half to talk to my self till i get it the teacher said if that’s what i t takes to learn it to students got up and left that teacher she was not teaching them they were listening to my instruction my student was so happy to learn it she said i got it i got it it makes sense that was my first time teaching i only had one student and they got it another time the teacher walked out of the class and i taught her class the students asked me do you know how to do needle tatting i said yes they asked me why aren’t you teaching this class i said i just learn it my self a cuppel of mounths ago i thought 6 students to tat that day that realy wanted to learn it it people ask me all the time why are you not teaching i learned so much from you tips and tricks in such little time carma those who can do don’t teach and i don’t get paid i’ll give a one on one the magic words is i’ve always wanted to learn that please or i won’t waist my time teaching you all you cridicks i want to see you try to give a class and see how hard it is you seliberity and groupy you half to have nerves of steal and not get mad when criticism appears and your not an actor a good teacher is had to find and you all would would never do this to a man cause he would through you out of his class be nice to each other and stop running the teachers off you can learn from there should be a sign at the door i’m sorry that i think like a man i will through you out of a class please leave now your disturbing the peace there trying to learn and your pissing people off don’t go away mad just go away thank you very much and have a nice day you don’t deserve to learn for free with that kind of attitude carma
I haven't done Nalbinding in a while and often one stitch can have different names regionally, so I'm not sure which stitch you are talking about. If you haven't already, I would recommend checking out this site: www.en.neulakintaat.fi/ Good luck!
Unfortunately I have not had the time to process and upload the follow up video to this one. I originally created this video for the students of a in person class I was teaching and ended up not needing the follow up video.
also there are people that want to learn this and i won’t teach them because i get it and they don’t why can’t they learn it from these videos do you need to hold there hand while they waist my time asking the answer is still no

Couldn't agree more. I have also watched many and while a few have been ok, this one was very good.
This is one of the better videos. Will you be showing how to join to work around in another video, soon?

Oh my! You are amazing! Instructions are clean and direct!
Glad it was helpful!
thank you this is help full
I'd really like for you to show us different kinds of stitches!
This was so helpful! Thank you for explaining the stitch anatomy, I’ll have a much better sense of what I’m doing with this knowledge. ❤

Very nice clear and informative video. Really appreciate how to tell the order of the loops.

Does anyone teach how to start the Danish stitch?

TURN THE VOLUME UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate tl be negative , but you must have clean nails !
very helpful, but too much talking, difficult to use this to show those who do not speak English
Dirty nails are very off putting.
Good Information but, you repeat the same thing many times. That's very annoying.
