When I was in middle school the whole "rap battle" thing started to become popular in my country, and with a friend we kind of wanted to take part in that so we would write down lyrics dissing the other one out, and the one that came up with the best lyrics would win. The thing is, we were young, so you could probably imagine the kind of awkward and embarrassing things we would write down, mainly involving a lot of "I'm gonna screw your mom" but written in a creative manner for "the punchline".
The thing is, I was dumb enough to bring those lyrics home and put them in a drawer, which led to my mom founding them when she came to clean my room. Honestly, I can't remember literally ANYTHING of what she told me other than the fact that the whole thing of trying to explain what "a rap battle" was and how I didn't actually mean to screw my friend's mom was embarrassing enough that my mind apparently erased all memory of it lol.
Thanks for another lesson, pretty useful for listening practice.

I'm hesitant to share this as it may be TMI, but it's the only story I can think of that's actually embarrassing to tell...sorry in advance if it's too much. Anyway, way back when I was still in high school, it was late in the evening on a school night. I was upstairs, ahem, "enjoying" a shower if you know what I mean, and apparently I was going at it so hard the floor was shaking. My whole family was downstairs watching tv together and they could hear the vibrations in the upstairs floor and realized exactly what I was doing. After the shower I was walking downstairs and past the living room, where my mom, dad, and both of my younger siblings were watching me with suspicious grins. My dad, visibly holding back laughter, says, " Hey there, did you have a fun shower?" Ugh, I still cringe just from the memory...

Holy shit how strong were you? This sort of looks like an eromanga superpower: "I want to have an ordinary school life but my dick can create earthquakes" the protagonist needs to avoid fapping to protect everyone from the deadly earthquakes that would be created, but then more and more love interest get in the way of his mission, maybe you could also have a happy ending were he chooses the wholesome ending and decide to go live in the countryside, "And from that day xxx province became the most quake afflicted place in the world and an exclusion zone was set up, but some still decide to enter the exclusion zone for profit, those people are called STALKERS"

When I was in my early teens, I confessed to reading yaoi to my school therapist. She must have misunderstood or something because she said "you have to tell your parents you're doing that or I will." True haha. I stumbled upon it online by accident when I was younger and now I’m a grown man and I’m still big on yaoi even if a lot of stories are super wacky. But like, if you compare it to some of the wacky plot lines in western… adult oriented media, we have to admit that it’s all pretty wacky xD

Yeah, yaoi is my lifestyle ehe..
Lets be honest though spicy yaoi scenes are way hotter than western versions or the real thing..
Anime just makes everything so much more attractive (well depending on the art style of course; some anime styles are ugly)
Edit: okie nvm thats just me xD
But then again im just weird in the sense that anything too explicit with people makes me extremely uncomfortable (and a little grossed out) so yeah..

Oh, and another one. My Dad was a high school English teacher at a different school than the one I went to, but he knew teachers at my school. One day in _my_ English class another student was irritating me, and not realizing the teacher was standing right behind me I said to him "Shut up, you díldo!" (Not the greatest comeback in the world.) The teacher in a shocked voice said _"What_ did you just say?" I froze, unable to think of an answer. She didn't make a big deal about it, but when my Dad got home from work that night he said "So son, did you learn any new words in school today?" My teacher had called him and _told_ him what I said! Dad thought it was hilarious, but I just felt ill. It's not so embarrassing today, but back then I felt like my teacher was always looking at me because of that.

When I had been studying Japanese for about 2 years I got a job as a translation intern at Studio Ironcat. Being the intern, I got to work on the projects that the main translator preferred not to work on-which primarily meant helping out with some of the sexier stuff in their catalog. When I finished translating the volumes I was assigned I just stored them in my closet and left it at that. Apparently my mother found them when I was away at school, but just quietly disposed of them. I only found out because my brother told me a year or two later.

こんにちは!Misa Sensei, don’t feel embarrassed, in fact it was really insightful and interesting. I draw Yaoi all the time, it sorta of my hobby now. I been drawing and a read since I was in my teens. I remember as a teenager, I did a drawing of two male game characters kissing for my friend, I got caught for drawing it and got told off badly! But I still carry on drawing Yaoi still today (I’m in my late 20s) I don’t feel embarrassed reading Yaoi, I found it very entertaining and engaging. Some with fantastic drawings. However I try to keep the my Yaoi mangas out of sight as much a possible. My family are not into reading or looking at books, so it is ok for me.
I really like your Japanese lessons, they are easy and effective. I’m now started to read manga in Japanese and really enjoyed it. I wanna advance my reading skills even more, maybe one day I could read a light novel.

The car was to small so I used some rope to tie the mattress to the roof. My little brother, who was about 15 at the time, was like, "Why is your rope purple? Haha, I really Enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing your story.
    I have a good one.
    a little backstory...
So, i´m an German/American (German Mother/ US Father) living in Germany.
My Parents Divorced when i was 3-4y old.i grew up bilingual.
When i was a kid, i visited my Father in England (stationed there through the US Army).
Soo. as kids do, you pick up Languages as you go. When we had Dinners in the evening i was exited for Desserts.
Growing up partially in the UK i picked up the british word "Afters" and i always used that instead.
"I ate my Dinner! Can i have afters now!??"
After my Holidays i came back to Germany, i spoke German (of course lol) but ocasionally mixed some English Words in between.
At our evening Dinner, we had pudding for desserts (my weakness, even today lol).
When i finished my Dinner i shouted with excitement!!!
"Mutti, Mein Teller ist Leer! Ich will After Essen!!"
(Mom, My Plate is empty! i want to eat After)
i heard my mom laugh so hard she could´nt breathe and got tears....i sat there confused and repeated what i have said.
She laughed even harder and begged me to stop. i had no clue what she have meant.
    "but i want After!"
    So what happened?
In German "After" means Butthole! i was emberassed so much haha!
Thinking back now, it was hilarious!

「(姉ちゃん)忘れてくれて」is a great sentence to talk a little bit more about grammar/cultural nuances specific to japanese。

😂 When I was in middle school me & my friend used to role play our OCs. One Christmas we went to my families cabin & decided to RP in a notebook. One night we accidentally left it in the dining room & my dad read it 🤦 There was 18+ stuff in it too T_T When he asked who wrote it we blamed it on some kids at school. My friends just like "they're some real perverts aren't they?!? >:0" 😂 I'm pretty sure he knew it was us smh.

I was in a discord server for a yaoi manga I was reading. It was run by the scanlaters, so they often had hiring signs for positions and such. One day, my friend decides to go through the discord servers that I was in-- they were mostly benign ones, like class servers or hayday; but then she finds the yaoi one. She starts scrolling through. There were preview posts of two obviously gay dudes-- I don't think it was too much of a surprise for her to find that. But she kept scrolling. Then she comes to a post that says "hiring dick redrawers" -- what a horrific moment. I tried to play it dumb... I don't think it worked. God I think of that moment a lot.

When I was in elementary school, I ate something that didn't sit well. And during reading time I was feeling nauseated and I ended up vomiting all over my self in front of all my class. The teacher told me to try to make it to the restroom lol very embarrassing I went home early.

Awesome and funny video ! Lol I loved the beginning,
This is something I would do also
While I have plenty and I mean PLENTY of embarrassing stories one that comes to mind first :
I’m 18 and my parents are having another weekend party. (They had them very often) These parties were mainly good friends and family, and were always loud and fun.
Well I had to fart really bad so I walked over to a corner all by myself and waited and looked if anyone noticed me. No one did, everyone is laughing, talking loud and enjoying themselves. So since no one looked at me I farted kinda long and loud. Normally you wouldn’t have heard it with all the noise but for some reason, that MOMENT when I farted all the laughing, and talking stopped. I guess a moment of calm before it got loud again. Everyone in the room heard it. Everyone looked at me, all by myself in the corner.
My mom laughed at me and asked me why I did it. I’m like woman, y’all were so loud then and you are now. how y’all gonna be loud and the moment I let it loose everyone is quiet. She couldn’t stop laughing at me. No one that was there let’s me forget it either. And I’m 27 now!?
Anyway, thank you for this vid. It’s in my favorites :)

Doesn't seem all that embarrassing if I'm recounting it like that, but I feel like this experience shaved off about eight years of my life expectancy: When I was a teen I was obsessed with AKB48 (Yukirin was -is- my oshi). I wanted to become an idol so bad, too. I knew I wouldn't ever become one of course, so I never told anyone about it, but I still wanted to have the ~~experience~~ lmao, so, since my parents always came home about three hours later than me, I practiced in my room after school. One day though my father comes home earlier, right while I was doing some choreo (I think it was skirt hirari?) accompanied by my -cat screeching- singing, and walks in on me. We look at each other for a bit. Silence. Then he says "I'm home". Aaand leaves my room without another word. He's normally the type of person to poke fun at something like that, but he never mentioned it to me again. After school practices ended that day lmao.

😂😂😂 aww Misa your stories are funny at least. *hug* Probably the most embarrassing thing I’ve had happen was when I wrote a story for a creative writing class about the first time I got drunk at 16(which here in America is like super under age since the legal drinking age is 21). Well I wrote it thinking nobody else would ever see it, but one day I guess my Dad happened upon it somehow and he read it and learned that I had in fact gotten drunk even though when he’d asked about it the day after that party when he picked me up from my friend’s house I told him no.
Yeah, having your dad find out you lied about getting drunk under age is definitely not something you want to experience 😂😂

    My embarrassing story: I was texting to my friends about how "horrified" I was to find my mom's "toys." My mom snuck up behind me after I'd sent the messages and started laughing her a** off. I was already embarrassed to find them, and even more embarrassed that she knew I found them ^^;

I first started reading Yaoi when I was in 9th grade, and it's been almost 13 years already and I don't intend to stop any time soon... 😌 I even told my mother I like to read BL, and she just made a face and asked "why do you read that? 😑" but she never bothered with it because she's never seen what I read 🤭

Thank you, みさ先生, for another interesting and useful video. I didn't even expect to review the そう grammar (turned out I forgot that it can be attached to the する verbs as well, by changing them to the stem ~し as well - and I also forgot that ~そう is a na-adjective). More listening practice, please! If you feel like it, of course. It can be about anything, but the more everyday the better!

Not too embarrassing, but I have one when I first came to Japan. At the time I didn't speak much Japanese and didn't know too much about mannerisms in Japan.
I went to a large shopping mall with my then-girlfriend now-wife and we were looking at clothes in a crowded store. I found a dress I wanted her to see, but she was on the other side of the store, so I called to her, "Etsuko Desu!, Etsuko, Desu!". Which now I know means, "I'm Etsuko!, I'm Etsuko!!" and that is why many people in the store were looking strangely at me and also why she ignored me looking the other way.

Thats nice story to listen,so dont worry if your parents have seen everything you do,because you is you.Important is to be oneself, most people forgot it easily due to busy life.

In elementary school, I wrote a love poem about my crush. It was one of those super cheesy letter-by-letter poems using her name (like "M is for... E is for...etc..."). I hid it in a picture frame behind a picture and forgot about it. A few months later, my mom went to change pictures in that frame, found it and asked me about it. What's more, it was a girl that my mom knew... and so my mom was like "oh, is it THAT girl??"... I definitely wanted to die... LOL
