    Hi, I've been watching your reviews, and thank you for a lot of good info. I'm just wondering if it's powerful enough to help me laying concrete slabs outdoors? Like when you move a cross laser around indoors before laying tiles, to make sure you have a harmonic looking pattern before you start. If you put it on the tripod, how far is the vertical lines visible on the ground, in sunny daylight?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder

    3:47 A laser level is a precision optical device. As a photographer and DIYer, the first thing I would do is put that tripod on the side of the road with a sign “free, brand new”. You’re almost guaranteed to eventually break your level using that flimsy tripod when you accidentally knock into it. There are way safer and better solutions. Sirui and Bogen come to mind. You want want with some mass and/or a hook at the bottom of center post to hand a little weight of some sort. You definitely want a head with a quick release plate.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My tripod is still working, but it's nothing like my Manfrotto video tripod. Thanks for sharing your advice, especially with the center post weight. I'd like to see Milwaukee come out with a premium version.

    Excellent video one of the best demonstrating how the levels work. One question- when you set square layout for the volley ball court is that possible to do with only the cross line plumb point laser level or is the 360 degrees three plane laser level required? Thanks in advance

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 3 plane works great on floor surfaces. The other ones are better for things like hanging cabinets on walls, etc.

    • @TheRockymountainboy
      @TheRockymountainboy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You would need the 3 plane for that specific application. The cross laser doesn’t have 2 plumb lines that are perpendicular to each other.

    Have you found any issues using in the sunlight. I know in the video it shows it working well. But in the manual it mentions sunlight and extreme lighting conditions can affect accuracy. It states to use indoors for best results. Have you noted the accuracy being affected enough to notice

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven't noticed any issues. I did notice an issue with the M18 Red Interior Laser & Detector when using it inside. My extra garage lights, where I record videos, messed with the laser detector. That one is a different detector than the one in this video.

Head height for a door is 6’8” or more. What about deck ledgers? Stairs. Picture rail and crown moulding. Or using it with a detector to get elevations when grading? I wish an elevator tripod that went to 8’ was more common and available.
