Dude! I totally get where you coming from. Building, filming, editing is more work than most will ever know. The only reason why I can do a weekly video is because I'm retired and my kids are grown up and out the house. TH-cam burnout is a real thing out there. You do what you can and don't skimp on your standards! Your real supporters will be there for you!

I feel your pain buddy, that’s why I only do shorts. Life gets in the way of building cars. I have had a bit on last two weeks with work projects on our house and just being physically exhausted. Getting up for work 4:30am every morning is not a fun thing haha. Keep up the work Z is looking great.
Take your time mate, I have learnt from watching other TH-camrs that its the editing is what takes the time and like with everyone, life happens and get in the way. So take your time.

Been watching the sense about halfway through the build. A guy I work with told me about you restoring this Z. Some people don’t understand the amount of time it takes to record, upload, edit plus everything that’s going on in your personal life. It can get crazy. Keep up the good work. I feel like I have learned somethings from watching you and trying to apply them to my 240sx restoration. Keep getting it but take time for you and the family.

I've followed a few over the years who've just stopped half way through and given up. The editing is a huge time sink, especially when you're trying to have a life with family & friends etc. You've also inspired me, once a new workshop is built, to also do a build / shop series. Brother, I totally get it. I have a very hard time keeping up on my 'channel' if that's what you'd call it. I've been watching videos of guys building since way back in 2015 and I can tell you this, teams of fabricators take months to years to complete custom builds like this, so you in your garage are doing a fine on time. As far as your videos, you need to get an editor, and no, I'm not looking for a job, lol. There's a bunch of people out there editing... shoot some of your viewers may just be editors. And you need to get a friend or family member to film you and set up shots. None of this is terribly hard to accomplish and will amplify your channel. You take care and keep up the work, it's looking great and showing everyone all the ups and downs is a perfect angle. Take care.

Good to see you back mate. People really don’t realise how hard this TH-cam thing is when you work full time. I have just been doing progress videoes on customers cars and I always get the same complaint. “I don’t explain the process enough”. People don’t understand how much time it takes to film and edit a video. I saw puddins fab shop going through the same thing. I am slogging hard to get my 240z done. I want it done so bad that I couldn’t be bothered with the filming. I am just head down ass up in to it. I also need to write some new music for my videoes because all 55 songs I had written have vanished out of I tunes and I have no back up of them. Well I best get out and do a short update video my self today some time. It’s been a few weeks

Yeah take your time man, dont try to force yourself to work on it or you will just overwork yourself and feel burnt out. trust I tried to rush my build to have it done by end of summer and it screwed me in the end lol and now I am correcting mistakes that I overlooked.
Hey man, I just started my build finally. I'm working on quarter panel replacement right now. I'm trying to start a channel as well and have been collecting content so I know how annoying filming can be on top of working on the car. I'm taking my L26 and converting to fuel injection and coil packs. I think I'm gonna keep it NA for now too.
Nice bro!!! Good luck with the build. And yeah filming can be annoying but its also rewarding. Good luck on the channel as well 😃 my advice is stock pile footage and get several videos ahead before you post any. That way you have a buffer between content and uploads if that makes sense. I wish I would have done that 😂
i'll be starting on my 240Z in a few weeks. i expect it to take 10 years, given my other priorities, age, and energy level. i plan to document the process, and will dip my toe into youtube. i can see no way of producing more than one video a month.

I grew up watching the TV show Overhauling with my Dad and my dads whole life he was a mechanic so I learned alot about cars from him. However Im 37 years old and I didnt get a welder until I was almost in my 30s. Right now Im a B Class Lineman at a Distribution Electric Company. Before the Datsun my only sheet metal repairs were on a 78 C10 and that was my first metal fabrication. Before that I built motor mounts and trans mounts and a turbo kit for my 93 240sx that I LS swapped. That was my first real fabrication project and like I said my first real sheet metal project was my wifes 240z. I know this summary is brief but some of the other Datsun videos have a little bit of my backstory. Thanks for the comment!!
Def focus on you and family. I'd love to see white board checklist of body projects and knock off one at a time with a simple video. I bet you could narrate more showing tge work and not always have to be on camera.
