I wish the assistants in the shop would tell you to buy a big hose too! Instructions are rubbish, but product is very good when you figure out what else you need to buy to use it!

Tip: tie a rope to the pump before you lower it into water. Tether it to something too. I got the 400w Titan version and it works a treat with flat pipe & jubilee clip.

Yeah the hose clip is a superior option than using a cabke zip tie as you've got less chance of the attached pipe coming off the pump unit it self - 20-25mm diameter hose clip i think it is

Hi - we've just had a Titan 400w dirty water pump installed after some garden works we had done. However the automatic switch isn't coming on as, from what I can see, when the water level rises then switch doesn't tilt enough for the sensor ball inside the switch to move to the on point. Any advice on how we can better this?

The float switch is the most ridiculous thing ever what the point in it switching off when there’s still 600 mm of water left I’ve bought 2 of them the first one randomly decided to stop working on a Sunday so had to buy a new one and screw fix was the only place open so had to buy it again 😂😂 for some reason as well when you go to start pumping you have to turn it sideways does the job when it gets going though I’m going to need to get a decent one off eBay or something eventually

When we attach a hosepipe to this product it wont pump out the water. The hose fits the pump perfectly as advised by screwfix and the pump works fine with no hose. I cant get my head around why it wont work with the hose attached, no blockages?

iv'e got one also. Is the float lifted above, it can be held up you will hear a click. Mine starts working straigt aways. but starts pumping out after about 30 seconds.

Best thing about this crappy pump is the switch on the plug. Do yourself a favour, spend a bit more and get a much better pump that's not made by screwfix.
