This is straight disrespectful to the band imo "15 year old girl band" BB has been around longer then 15 year old have been alive. As for your hating on not understanding the video its part 2 of the red cold river video...I think you guys are so closed minded with this personally. This band has never released a bad song and every song Ben writes is so deep and has personal meaning. I personally hated this react.
Lol, I went to a concert of theirs (I’m 16) and I was the youngest face around! Seemed like a lot of folks in their 30s-40s. I’ll agree that bands like Black Veil Brides or Sleeping With Sirens have younger audiences, but I don’t think Breaking Benjamin is one of those bands.
You're literally just criticizing everything illogically, it's ridiculous. It's an amazing band, appreciate it for what it is. It's a great track. I guess people have such a closed minds & are ignorant.
@Designated Shitposter Yeah, because everyone knows a specific website is the arbiter of genre classification. It's clear you are one of many people from many genres that when coming across a genre or specific band you don't like, you refuse to accept it as being under the same umbrella. And Heavy Metal umbrella is fucking vast.
If you guys wanna stop hitting the middle of the road songs, you gotta branch out from the singles these bands release. Because in this day and age, most singles that get released are heavily pushing for the ridiculous standards that radio stations have to play. You guys would love Breaking Benjamin and Tremonti. Listen to Breaking the Silence, The Dark of You, Breath by BB and My Last Mistake, Decay or Tore my Heart Out by Tremonti
give me one thing special or original about breaking Benjamin. they're fine but they only have one song and it's just ok. don't dislike a video simply because they reacted honestly to your favorite band. people are gonna have different opinions, getting upset about that makes you seem exactly like the 15 year old that they called you.
No they dont like the opinions they have, the reaction is great! they give their thoughts and review the music throughout the song. The reaction was A+, people just get salty if someone has a different opinion
You gotta hear "Psycho" and "Red Cold River" off this album. They;re a bit heavier. Cheers from the USA lads. ;) EDIT: there is a prequel video for this, the one for Red Cold River. And Ben, the vocalist, said there is a third part to this story. I'll alert you to the video when it comes out lol
This is basically a sequel to their other song "Red Cold River". The father loses his daughter and finds out that one of his friends, I think, kidnapped and killed her. So he literally sells his soul to get revenge for his little girl and when he kills him, her ghost appears to him and reaches out for him as he "demon-ifies". This video kicks off right from there.
there are much better songs off this new breaking benjamin album outside of this one tbh psycho and save yourself are probably my favorites. also, still gonna keep requesting nothing, nowhere - hammer
I listened to breaking benjamin when I was 13 years old, it was 9 years ago and you reminded me about it :) This song doesn'tcome up to me, but I remember "So Cold", "dance with the devil", "Diary of Jane" and it was something good then :)
Love Breaking Benjamin. Many of their albums have slight differences that you can just sorta tell what it is, but not explain too well. Great Band. (Phobia is my favorite album of theirs)
When I first listened to it I was like the same "come on you can do better come on get me" after listening to it third time using my soul and understanding the true beauty and it became instantly one of my all time rock songs. Conclusion : if you listen to BB using your ears you won't get them...use your heart and soul
this video has an story line , its actually a sequel for another music video called " Feed The Wolf " and also it connects to some of their previous hit songs and hit music videos like Polyamorous , So Cold , The Diary of Jane , and etc, so in order to understand this music you have to be familiar with their previous stuff
“The Diary of Jane” is their most iconic and if you’re looking for more unique songs of there’s that don’t sound so generic, check out “So Cold”, “I Will Not Bow”, and “Give Me A Sign”
Guys, you gotta do Blood or Tourniquet by Breaking Benjamin, they're one of the better songs off the new album I feel. This song doesn't give off the best impressions for the band. Also search up songs from an album called Delirium by Lacuna Coil
I'd actually recommend starting with Comalies by Lacuna Coil, specifically stuff like Heaven's A Lie and Swamped. It's more of their breakthrough album. Karmacode was also massive for them as well. I've heard Delirium is very good though, I've yet to check it out.
One of the biggest bands of my childhood haha, it's been so long. I think the song Simon refers to is Diary of Jane, it's their biggest song. If you want something gutkicking, check out one of these two! :) Carnifex - Drown Me in Blood (1 year old) Shadow of Intent - Underneath a Sullen Moon (1 month old)
You guys need to review Breaking Benjamin’s Red Cold River. Much more “punchy” and that is the first music video in this series. “Torn In Two” is the second in the series and also makes a bunch of references to their old music videos all tied into one video. That’s where a lot of the hype is coming from. Context for this song important. Lol But yeah, you should review Red Cold River! I’d be interested in what you guys have to say.
If ya’ll want to get into some more Breaking Benjamin, Breath is one of my absolute FAVORITE songs of theirs! Fade Away is awesome, Lights Out, Blood, Break My Fall, and Red Cold River are just a few more that I love.
Metals heads and YOU DONT KNOW BB AHHHHH WHYYYYY. Love you guys still Also some great heavy songs to listen to from them Hopeless Breaking the silence Blood Crawl
Been a fan of them for 10 years or so, what you really must not miss is "Diary of Jane" (probably the song you thought of), "So Cold", "Polyamorous" and "Breath". This newest album Ember is cool, a bit heavier than their last few albums but the real bangers are from the albums Phobia (2006) and We Are Not Alone (2004). Seeing your review of this song really puts the head on the nail for the song imo - in comparison to their greatest hits this, which was hyped to be the lead single for the album, never pops off. Ben, the lead singer broke up with the entire band and reformed a few years ago, still staying true to their sound essentially in part because he writes all their music, for added trivia :)
Oh, and the music video for Torn in Two is basically the continuation of the video for "Red Cold River" from the same album, and is filled to the brim with references to all - *all* - of their previous music videos.
The song Torn in Two - By Breaking Benjamin takes place after their song Red Cold River, so if you were to watch the music Video of Red Cold River you would probably get a better understanding of what the video is mainly about
This video was part 2 of a video trilogy telling the whole story. Please do the Red Cold River and Tourniquet videos, as they are part 1 and 3, respectively.
Listen and watch red cold river then torn in two then tourniquet if you really want to know as it was a 3 part video either way BB is a very dynamic band with heavy and melodic progressions Bens voice is one of the few i have found to be so calming at the same time in a very chaotic place. Seriously doesnt matter 15yo gothic girl comment too much this was the first video of yours that i watched and it will be the last. You guys arent very open minded or really know what you are talking about when it comes to music and that is what i would look for in reaction videos. Cheerio
React to ANYTHING from PHOBIA!!! HAD ENOUGH is my favorite song, but anything would suffice from that project! 🔥😭🔥 Also, their newest album is a different sound to their older albums! You're missing out if you guys don't react to their other albums... SERIOUSLY! PLEASE! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You guys should also react to a band called Pop Evil. I feel like you guys would would like their songs “Deal with the Devil” and/or “Trenches.” Both are some of their heavier songs.
I've never heard people saying that Breaking Benjamin sounds like other bands when most other bands with this sound, sound like them lol. Also this sounds mostly like their other stuff.
You might also want to look into Bad Wolves "Better The Devil" or Nothing More "Do You Really Want It" or "Fade In / Fade Out" for newer hard rock. I also recommend Avatar, but you'd have to take it back to the previous album, Feathers & The Flesh for songs like "Regret" & "House of Eternal Hunt", "The Eagle Has Landed", "New Land", "Fiddler's Farewell", "Black Waters", and "When The Snow Lies Red". It's truly a great album front to back...
Why choose this song as their big review? I love it by all standards, but it seems like they just chose a random song and decided to gut it with no context
I just found your channel this week and I love it. I think some XXXTentacion songs that will really get your attention are; (King of the dead, I spoke to the Devil in Miami, Garret's revenge and Young Bratz). These 4 songs all have completely different styles and I know you'll love them. And for Joyner Lucas you should check out; (I'm sorry, Ross Capicchioni, and Happy birthday). These 3 songs all have deep stories. Keep up the amazing work.
Ok, so I know you'll probably not see this comment, or react to the song. But I HIGHLY recommend the song Coin for the Ferryman by Nickelback. I think not only will you be surprised, but I think you'll love it!
Please react to every single album by Asking Alexandria but in order from Stand Up And Scream, Reckless And Relentless, From Death To Destiny, The Black (New Singer), Asking Alexandria (Self Titled and Old Singer back in Band)
you guys have to watch Breaking Benjamin Red Cold River first then watch torn in two it's a continuation if you do a review on that I will subscribe :))))))
This video is part two of Red Cold River. Which in my opinion is a better song. I can understand some of your criticism but it felt like you were reaching a bit.
This is probably the softest of their new tracks... id say give them another chance... their new song "Red Cold River" is heavier and also explains the music video from torn in two. Great vid!
Aimee Justine Le Roux: Ah, fan of slaves, didnt expect that. Personally id rather have them listen to "Petty Trappin/Patience is the Virture/I know a lot of artists"
I like Breaking Benjamin but give me songs like Red Cold River, The Diary Of Jane, I Will Not Bow, Breath, So Cold, Polyamorous, Dance With The Devil, Sooner Or Later, Evil Angel, Breakdown and Firefly any day, they were awesome. Also another band to react to Coheed And Cambria, I'd recommend either Welcome Home, The Suffering, Blood Red Summer, You Got Spirit Kid, Dark Side Of Me, Wake Up (especially if you like lyrics), The Running Free, Here To Mars and Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial) ... they've got more great songs but I'll be here for hours
Go see them live your shit will change ive see a few amazing bands live and these guys are the best EVERYONE in the crowd sings amd i didnt see 1 15 year old gothic girl in there i saw elders and. Adults and young adults 18 and up.
You guys should check out other Breaking Ben I agree this is not their best song but I love them "Red Cold River", is actually a new one that is really good.
Xxxtentacion - look at me (video) the way he uses his most popular song/come up song to portray a message in it is pure genius and something u guys need to react to
u should react to different genres too, some diversity for u: genre hardcore/gabber, artists: angerfist, the prophet, miss k8, mad dog, technoboy, crypsis, malice.
"this sounds like a band a 15 year old gothy girl would really like" I'm not a girl but the 15 year old gothy me LOVED this band! Still kinda like them but this song is definitely not one of their best.
Never choose this song to introduce some one to breaking Benjamin Diary of Jane Polymorous Until the end So cold Dear agony The list is long but the new album isn't somewhere to start Even as a huge fan I didn't grab on to many of the songs on the new album except close your eyes
If you guys want the harder breaking Benjamin that you just mosh to then check out red cold river, I will not bow, tourniquet, so cold and maybe home. Theyre much heavier.
New metalcore? Check out Consume or The Remedy by Polaris. They're Australia's fastest rising rock/metal band, making serious waves here and overseas, built on an Architects-style vibe. Australia's had some good bands in this style over the last few years, but Polaris are arguably the most talented of them all.
You guys should react to 1985 by J Cole, it's from his new album and he talks about rappers like Lil Pump and think I would be cool to see you guys opinion on it!
Best song from the new album is Close your eyes Their hits are amazing every single one so I would just recommend listening to the shallow bay greatest hits albums
This is straight disrespectful to the band imo "15 year old girl band" BB has been around longer then 15 year old have been alive. Yeah I don't hate opinions but I agree
You good sir get a thumbs up...losing a child is now angsty according to the fellows....what a terrible take
if you guys want more music from Breaking Benjamin to react to, check out "Blow me away", and "I will not bow"!
You're literally just criticizing everything illogically, it's ridiculous.
It's an amazing band, appreciate it for what it is.
It's a great track. I guess people have such a closed minds & are ignorant.
I think you mean: Breaking Benjamin - The Diary of Jane
Saturate was bad ass.
D G that song wasn’t on Saturate
Breaking Benjamin is one of the best mainstream metal bands out there. One thing that has always define them is their consistency.
/mu/ck post-grunge/alt. metal with a bit of hard rock to be more specific l.
I see them more as an Alt. Metal band than anything.
@/mu/ck they are alternative metal. Still metal though.
@/mu/ck FYI.. its a fusion of Heavy metal and alternative rock.. so yea it is metal.
@Designated Shitposter
Yeah, because everyone knows a specific website is the arbiter of genre classification.
It's clear you are one of many people from many genres that when coming across a genre or specific band you don't like, you refuse to accept it as being under the same umbrella. And Heavy Metal umbrella is fucking vast.

Breaking Benjamin - I Will Not Bow
You should really review Blood from Breaking Benjamin! That song has to be one of the best on the album!
I've gotta say, they've never lost a step in their music. That comment "15 year old gothy girl" definitely earned you a dislike. Very disrespectful. 👎
15 year old gothy girl, that's a dislike. Disrespect my favorite band.
Tristan Matheny i agree
It's so sad that people could possibly view BREAKING BENJAMIN this way... They're the greatest rock in the world.
give me one thing special or original about breaking Benjamin. they're fine but they only have one song and it's just ok. don't dislike a video simply because they reacted honestly to your favorite band. people are gonna have different opinions, getting upset about that makes you seem exactly like the 15 year old that they called you.

No they dont like the opinions they have, the reaction is great! they give their thoughts and review the music throughout the song. The reaction was A+, people just get salty if someone has a different opinion

there are much better songs off this new breaking benjamin album outside of this one tbh psycho and save yourself are probably my favorites.
also, still gonna keep requesting nothing, nowhere - hammer
lurid psycho and save yourself are great. Idk why but Dark of You is incredible to me
lurid breaking Benjamin ashes of Eden
I love breaking Benjamin, but you guys might like Chevelle. They have a wide variety of songs from heavy to soft. Chevelle have a pretty unique sound.
Breaking Benjamin - I will not bow, diary of Jane, and so cold.. ICONIC songs.
My favorite band
I listened to breaking benjamin when I was 13 years old, it was 9 years ago and you reminded me about it :) This song doesn'tcome up to me, but I remember "So Cold", "dance with the devil", "Diary of Jane" and it was something good then :)
Love Breaking Benjamin.
Many of their albums have slight differences that you can just sorta tell what it is, but not explain too well.
Great Band. (Phobia is my favorite album of theirs)
Yeah I like that a lot about them too. You can tell what album something is from just from listening to it's instrumentals.
When I first listened to it I was like the same "come on you can do better come on get me" after listening to it third time using my soul and understanding the true beauty and it became instantly one of my all time rock songs.
Conclusion : if you listen to BB using your ears you won't get them...use your heart and soul

Agree, love his voice especially in "Breath" and "I Will Not Bow".
Breaking Benjamin- 'Diary of Jane' will give you a taste of the true band.
Metals heads and YOU DONT KNOW BB AHHHHH WHYYYYY. Love you guys still
Also some great heavy songs to listen to from them
Hopeless
Breaking the silence

Revocation - Madness Opus. Now this is some good modern death/thrash metal
Instant like. If youre new to them id recommend listening to Phobia and Dear Agony 🙌🏼
Guys please react to Linkin Park - Crawling (One more light live) , it's probably the most emotional piece of music i've ever heard
I'm pretty sure the video for this song is a follow up of the video for Red Cold River.
Interesting you noted the Billy Corgan thing Simon, because Corgan helped write three BB songs: Forget It, Rain, and Follow. Check em out too.
This video was part 2 of a video trilogy telling the whole story. Please do the Red Cold River and Tourniquet videos, as they are part 1 and 3, respectively.
Breaking Benjamin - Red Cold River

If you want to get the story on this video you must watch the 'Red Cold River' video!
I saw BB and auto thought it was the song on Halo 2..
I now leave sad.
I found this song very mesmerizing
Please react to every single album by Asking Alexandria but in order from Stand Up And Scream, Reckless And Relentless, From Death To Destiny, The Black (New Singer), Asking Alexandria (Self Titled and Old Singer back in Band)

The song your talking about is probably diary of Jane. Also you guys should do some Coheed and Cambria
Great vid!
You should listen to Psycho by them. I think that may be what you're looking for in this band. That song is new and has that punch.
Did he just say they sound like Disturbed?
"Live to the nation, yeah, we're on bbc2" 😂

"this sounds like a band a 15 year old gothy girl would really like" I'm not a girl but the 15 year old gothy me LOVED this band! Still kinda like them but this song is definitely not one of their best.
Red Cold River by BB is much more like what you're hoping for
Feed the wolf is a great song by them tbh good mixture of grunge and melodic vocals
Never choose this song to introduce some one to breaking Benjamin
Diary of Jane
Polymorous
Until the end
So cold
Dear agony
The list is long but the new album isn't somewhere to start
Even as a huge fan I didn't grab on to many of the songs on the new album except close your eyes
If you guys want the harder breaking Benjamin that you just mosh to then check out red cold river, I will not bow, tourniquet, so cold and maybe home. Theyre much heavier.
Ben has worked with Billy corgan on their second album
listen to some of breaking benjamin's older stuff. its similar but better. breathe, so cold, diary of jane, blow me away are good tracks.
Can you guys listen to diary of jane, or breath? From breaking benjamin.
Also pain from three days grace :)
Keep up the great content.
On fire yeah
New metalcore? Check out Consume or The Remedy by Polaris. They're Australia's fastest rising rock/metal band, making serious waves here and overseas, built on an Architects-style vibe. Australia's had some good bands in this style over the last few years, but Polaris are arguably the most talented of them all.
Can you guys react to "Earl Sweatshirt", do "chum" and "whoa". You guys are my fave react channel on TH-cam btw, keep it up!!!!
You guys should react to 1985 by J Cole, it's from his new album and he talks about rappers like Lil Pump and think I would be cool to see you guys opinion on it!
If you want good Breaking Benjamin music, you've gotta go WAY back. Like Saturate and We Are Not Alone. Listen to Natural life, Sugarcoat, or Firefly.
Best song from the new album is
Close your eyes
Their hits are amazing every single one so I would just recommend listening to the shallow bay greatest hits albums
diary of jane is probubly there most main stream song
Excelent reaction man!...Please react to "Earth from space"...from Caesar's Rome. Thank You! Salutes from Paraguay!
Dairy of Jane
You guys should react to Ice Nine Kills
This song doesn't really move the meter for me either, but these guys are actually rad. You should do Throne by Bring me the Horizon!!
Billy Corgan once worked with Ben from Breaking Benjamin if that helps.
Black wedding- in this moment
