Many persons with service obligations are rotated in for tdy. I have done two; one 10-day on land and another 10-day on a rig in the Gulf in my early 20's. On land, there is an ambulance for every shift because it is the most dangerous job in the world. The stuff is under pressure after the oil is struck. And new pipe has to be continuously positioned on the rig. Glad I survived just passin' through.
Watching this in my Hotel room in Texas on my 3rd day of a Month long hitch! I'll be up at 3am and drive 1hr to location. Only 3 1/2 weeks till I go home! The Oil Patch ain't for the weak! Be Safe out there Brothers 💯🤘🤠🇺🇸💥

writing for these series interest me , topic is very relevant.. it has so many myths built in with untruths, with all those protests against pipelines, environmental issues and of course its absolute need in our lives and its ultimate demise one fine day.. it can be made into a very interesting series because of who controls it, its no more individual wells anymore consolidation under conglomerates already under standard oil was there,to international arena there is very good track of that with tension of annexations or holding out all these make very good writing... and what all got done to control world through fuels which ultimately like rest of human beings going to finish one day, I have been delving into this subject for a long time studying pros and cons of all of this substance. a very relevant topic indeed with its struggles hardships of rig business's then it being snatched away families sufferings in between loooootttt of material actually.
.my husband was a driller and was blew up and burnt over 99 percent of his body and died I can't believe they made a show like this. The pre views made me go back into my PTSD . I WONT BE WATCHING
First off I'm sorry for your loss... Can you imagine if a police officer or firefighters wife took that POV though? While I completely understand you personally not wanting to watch being upset they made a show is ridiculous. So all the other men in that field shouldn't have their profession showcased bc it's dangerous.... Something they know fully well when they accept the job? With that logic we would never have any tv shows about police or fire bc men have died doing those jobs...
@jenniferallen1419, You think watching this preview of Landman brought back memories to give you a PTSD episode. Imagine how f%cked up in the head all those other family members are still today who lost their loved ones in the blast with your husband. What about the rough necks & derrick hands who died on the rig that were ALL under the supervision & responsibility of your husband? I am truly sorry for your loss & understand what you've gone through having gone through it myself after losing a good buddy of mine I grew up with since 1st grade. Yet I'm not sorry to tell you like it is & keep it a buck here. Maybe you're right, you shouldn't waste time watching shows that upset you like this. You should use your time more wisely instead & try reaching out to some of those people who still grieve today for their loved ones who died with your husband due to the lack of the responsibility he had for his crew. Just saying... +Peace Funk & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend+ 🤘😜🤘
As a roughneck. I love it.. To each their own. Things happen. Accidents occur. It's cool folks can see how it is. Even though it's worst case scenario every show..
This show should've been called "Oilman" or "Rough Neck"!!!!! Not "Landman"!!! I, a female, have been a Landman for 40 years, and this in no way describes what a "Landman" is!! It does pertain to the oil and gas industry, but not to a REAL Landman! Call it by the correct name...such as...."Oilman"....NOT..."Landman"!!! This shows a real lack of understanding about the oil and gas industry!! The "rough necks" who work the rigs ARE NOT LANDMEN! You should've done better homework!! In our work, it is imperative that we are correct in all matters, unlike what you have been!! I have no problem with the series' storyline or the acting because it is VERY entertaining. My only issue is with the name of the Series.
Linda, after reading your critique of the shows name I still don't know what a Landman, Landwoman, or a Landperson is. You didn't describe what that title description actually is, and since it's been a long career title of yours I would truly appreciate learning it from you. Thank you
This looks cool it might help my withdrawals after Yellowstone ends
So far this is an amazing show! Love Billy Bob, and the cast is amazing. What a show!! Billy Bob would have been an amazing John Dutton.

Looks good to me>
Is Billy Bob eccentric or what
What’s he got the black wool cap under the hat
I retired at 50 from the chemical industry but it all started from the oil fields and learning bout prostitutes etc...
As long as its not another show idolizing criminals like Yellowstone and Tulsa Kings are, it should be good.
There is no Beth
Once more... Hollywood making a statement. I have now decided to sell my car and turn my garage into a barn for "Ole Paint".

You have a weak mind if this triggered ptsd for you lol

@@rodney8763 think of a landman as a broker or liaison between an oil company (or wind or solar) and the land owner for lease purchase.
Let me guess…. another series that Taylor Sheridan will leave unfinished 🙄
I think Taylor planned this with timing cause he knew Yellowstone was ending.
Looks good ! One thing though ? Demi Moore in it ? 😂 no thank you ! Nobody should watch it 😂😂😂😂
I don’t watch show with actors and actresses that spewed lies about trump and called trump supporters horrible names
Fell asleep in the first 15 minutes of the first episode. Taylor Sheridan is just another over-hyped flavor of the month.
This could be dumbest show I have seen from Taylor big names boring plot..oil man 😮
Michael Pena dies at the end of the first episode.
Unfortunately Demi Moore will have to be written out soon, given her deep involvement in the freak outs at Diddys with underage boys.
