Thank you for putting out such informative videos you helped us make our decision on raising turkeys in our backyard we ordered 10 off tractor supply they’re now four weeks old and starting to show what channel is they are some of them are displaying already I’m curious what the proper ratio is of males to females in the long run I don’t know if we’re gonna keep all 10 of them are Jake’s like roosters that if there are no females they will not fight? Or can I have three males and three females living together?
I made a sort of square prop for mine out of a cheap pool noodle held together by toothpicks. I have one like this that surprised me by hatching three days early. My gut told me to help but it’s my first time hatching turkeys.
Just in case anyone is having this problem, I wanted to give an update on my little turkey poult. You can place a cup in a sock or vice versa to prop the chick in but I used a pool noodle snuggly inside a very small box to keep my chick upright on it’s feet. I also didn’t have any store bought electrolytes but found a recipe of 1 cup water, two teaspoons sugar, 1/8 teaspoons salt, 1/8 teaspoons baking soda and prayed my heart out. She is eating, drinking and walking today and she couldn’t even sit up before. This took two days. I mainly put her in the box to keep the others from picking on her. If you have one like this, don’t give up if you don’t have to.

I've used water down egg yolk and have had good luck with it
