In most European countries, there are also some fast food chains, having their "default" ice creams. But in most towns and certainly all city centers, are often several competing ice cream shops that have dozens of uniquely created ice cream varieties, with far superior quality over fast food chain ice creams. Like you, I couldn't easily single out one favorite ice cream. I really like a cone of some scoops of different, freshly made fruit ice, where Raspberry, Blackberry, Blackcurrant, Mango, Papaya, ... ice, with high fruit content, are some of my favorites. The fruit content is often 30% or even more, meaning a puree from full fruits, not some fruit extract. On other days, I prefer a mix of Walnut, Chocolate, Vanilla and Stracciatella ice and similar varieties. Walnut ice with walnut pieces is incredible. Almond, White Chocolate and other Nut and Chocolate ice variants, are also sometimes available. Dark Chocolate sauce fits well with those ice flavors, but especially to Walnut ice a Caramel sauce is really nice. I also have the somewhat unusual preference, that I do not like to mix the sour-sweet fruit ice types, with the purely sweet ice varieties, like vanilla, chocolate and walnut. So I either choose one or the other category. And don't get me started on cheese and bread. I live reasonably close to the geographic trijunction between Switzerland, France and Germany. So I have access to the maximum of combined cheese- and bread-fullness, or whatever you want to call the situation, that Germany has the largest selection of breads and the countries surrounding the European Alps (Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Lichtenstein), all have especially strong cheese making traditions.
It's a wonder Glitchy's wife actually joined the discussion. I would have gotten a: "not only are you playing a video game, but _this_ is what you're discussing?! 🙄" 😂👍
10:45 I'm with Glitchy on leaving stumps. They can be frustrating to remove, don't offer much in the way of wood and because I'm a weird hippy-type person, I don't like cutting down trees and they're a reminder of where to plant tree seeds (I don't actually do that) 29:05 I, too, dislike cones, particularly as a kid. If I'm eating ice cream, I wanna eat ice cream. Not some weird papery, sweet, slightly sticky thing that falls apart when the ice cream melts 35:10 Mint chocolate chip is the superior flavor, without question. That or sac
Fun fact about Wendy's. There is no Wendy's in the EU, because of a small shop called Wendy's Fish and Chips in The Netherlands. The owner named his shop after his daughter and trademarked the name in 1995. The American company tried to offer the guy money and even took him to court, but he won't give in and the law is on his side.
In Mrs Glitchy's defense, Whataburger has been crap since they discontinued the Monterey Melt. In N Out is a fantastic burger, but their fries are trash. But all of them, including Wendy's, can suck it because Freddy's Steakburgers exists.
If you accidentally renamed a "no name" portal and it isn't connecting now, have you tried destroying it and recreating it to get an unmodified "no name" one?
Wendy's was my first actual job. In the absence of Whataburger and In-and-Out, I agree, they have the best burgers, but maybe not the best fries. Five Guys isn't fast food, so it does not meet the criteria. Best burgers overall in my area are Five Guys, for quality and consistency (they are a bit too pricey though). Burger King and McDonalds are both dogshit.
Glitch and waffles when you guys going to finish your new home. You started that new home but you guys lefted that thing. So could you consider the new home. You guys are so easily distracted by something
I am mighty disappointed with the pair of you, this was an entire episode devoted to food talk and yet not a single moment of it was aboard the obligatory boat, you didn't even get around to actually building the longship damnit! I am immediately un-subbing, changing my name and moving to Mongolia in disgust! 😋 On a totally different note, I have yet to find a single fast food chain burger which comes even vaguely close to acceptable, and I've tried a fair few. There are a couple of places in my home town which do amazing burgers, and a lot of take-away places here do reasonable burgers, but none of them are big name chains. The moment you go for fast and available burgers you lose all semblance of flavour and quality in my experience, if the burger isn't moist, thick and crazy tasty you've got it wrong.
IMHO, Wendy's does an acceptable burger, but the main reasons I keep going back are (1) the $5 Biggie Bag - so I get lunch for less than $5.50; and (2) free mini Frosty every visit - because I buy a tag every year. There is a locally owned Mexican place near my office called Mexican Mariachi. I the chorizio quesadilla.
Very cool episode! Love the occasional special guest idea. And yes…Wendy’s Frosty is S-tier.
Holy chickens!!! Spot and Rover are great names

No Wendys here, but I do enjoy a Carls Jr western bacon cheeseburger once and awhile. Shoutout to Margi! 👋🏽

Hah! Wow that's interesting!!

Hahaha I think I've had Freddy's once but I barely remember it. I think it's regional like Culver's, which I remember being fantastic
Early 2000's, the last time a McDonalds milkshake machine was working (as I'm typing...)
You all must not have a Wayback Burgers. Thats good shiz

The Wendy's convo is hilarious. And Wendy's per california is garbage. Best burgers for our area for fast food. Is in n out and fries are amazing.
Garbahg 🎉

Hahaha that last line could be applied to multiple things. But also just wait for the next episode! I get us on track. Kinda.
