Sick track. Wish supermoto scene was bigger in the USA

Yeah I remember in the mid 2000's it was pretty huge. Was even in the X-Games for a few years. Such a great spectator sport too so it's odd it fell off.
It isn’t popular because pavement is expensive and dirt is cheap by comparison. Between every road course track there are a dozen motocross tracks, so it makes sense that people would rather do motocross. Driving 4 hours to your local supermoto track (that’s built onto a car road course or kart track) is a lot less appealing than driving 45 minutes to your local motocross track.
I would imagine the kart->F1 funnel in Europe means there are more kart tracks that are the correct size and shape for supermoto. Since those kart tracks aren’t popular here(karts are more dirt track based), there’s just nowhere to run supermoto.
See plenty of paved kart tracks in my travels. Sure many not ideal or like this track in vid, but they would come with proper turn out.
Supermot series start up all over just not enough people with ball big enough to come out and make it bigger.
More than enough money in this country to support tards see countless 100k trucks, pulling the 150k toy toy haulers, with 80k in toys in it. It's not a money issue.
Supermoto is just unpopular in the US.

Fantastic racing and incredible well done coverage. I'm very happy for Lukas and hope he wins the championship, but he needs to cut the mistakes, as Marc is a very strong rival. Lukas has the momentum though.
I will own up: He didn’t make an error in the Super Final as I thought while recording.
It was the joker lane that caused the position shuffle, but since we didn’t see it on camera, that possibility didn’t come to mind.
It was a flawless weekend for Lukas!

Dirt section is pretty tight, not a ton of passing opportunities imo. Wish this was bigger in the states but it actually is a lot like motocross.
These guys are a lot more allround then motocross riders.
Totally agree! Wish it was bigger here.. AMA National Supermoto is hosting all 4 rounds in Tucson Arizona in September 2024!

First it’s Awesome racing and more people should check out this type of racing!!! Imo the camera work could be better such as maybe drone shots or something similar perhaps more in-depth on the bike itself and explain the differences 🤷🏼♂️ like I said just my opinion . Other than that it was great racing and I’m glad it finally popped up on my phone!!!

Most have a dirt section, but not all. Some the section is very small. But the also have concrete jumps which is cool.
Supermoto will either have a dirt section or a asphalt sky section (paved over dirt) or both!

I feel a bit sorry for TM. If KTM starts dominating I'm afraid it will be difficult for TM to stay in the market.
Tm is not readily available in the US. I have a 22 ktm smr. They have a 24 at the dealer calling my name.
I don't think so, Lukas bike is far from regular one, on the other hand my TM is almost the same as L30 except the suspension and brake caliper.
@@Arnechos you might be right about the difference between stock and racing bike, but when TM was on first 3 places, everyone was astonished and might consider buying TM despite not being so common brand everywhere without all the aftermarket parts. If KTM will be winning, the sales that could have gone to TM will go to KTM.
They actually were building Lukas KTM to be more like the TM’s! For example like the prototype had the tank under the seat!

I don't understand. What tires are you riding, that allow you to be this fast on dirt without nobs?
Melt-in-your-hands-sticky race slicks with some grooves cut in them, you can see the insane blue groove they lay in the fast line on the dirt.

You can tell they’re riding reactively.. we always say in SM ride the track not the pack.. everybody is 1.5 seconds late on their turn entrance
