Hi Zeke,It's an honour to me to get an answer from You and I really thank You for this. Believe me, I saw a lot of videos and from Frederic Collignon, too.I learned something important: it is always a difference if a player does it just for fun in a bar or if he plays on a tournament. So most players do, what they can do best. But when You explain something in Your videos, it looks very easy, the videos seem to be not cutted and this makes the difference. So, I didn't want to bore You but it was a wish to me to tell ya that I am really imoressed by what ever You do. Thank You and have a nice weekendFelix
Thanks Felix. I appreciate the kind words. Let me know if there's any videos you'd like me to do. I prefer doing videos that somebody requests, so if there's ever any questions or requests send me a message or post a comment. Thanks.
I've been translating ITSF rulebook to Serbian, and the only rule about that is 23.1.4. "If the ball touches the front or back of the man prior to the motion of a pass it must touch a second man before it can be legally caught on the three-rod". So, if you touched the ball with a front or back side of the figure, the pass is illegal, but Zeke here touches the ball with the side of the figure, which makes the pass legal. Greetings :)
nice vid, man 5-6 years ago we had a foosball scene going around in the city, but it seems to be dying. And my favorite lounge closed down :( I have many fond memories of Friday night foosball with friends. I'm gonna keep playing!
@FupNinetyFour The model of the table is a Tornado T-3000. The ball I'm using is a Tornado ball, which is specifically made for that table. It's not like one of those balls that comes with cheapy foosball tables that are plastic and lopsided. The tornado ball can make a cheapy table play much better because it will allow for more control. Buy one on the net, they are about $3.
@Cod123Lord I think in order to master any passing series (or shot), it's going to take a couple years of good practice, and tournament play. It also depends on the player's skill level. A beginner will take a few years to learn the mechanics. But it will take longer to develop speed and power. Once the mechanics are learned, the next challenge is learning to read an opponent's defense. That will take even longer.
@philmacroch The pass to the middle guy is great. A lot of times during a 5 row series that will open up. I've found it effective, once someone starts reading your 5 row series set up, if there's any tic-tac involved in the set-up the middle 3 man is open. People adapt but its a good pass. I do it with out the extra tic-tac...2nd guy starting with the ball, do fast pass(looks wall) and let it bounce back to 2nd guy off 1st. If done fast enough they tend to be on the wall n mid 3man is open
Thanks Tommy. I would try to make a 5 bar series a la "Tommy Adkisson" style but your too bad @ss and I would look silly trying to hit those super deep brush downs or those super quick stick lanes ;)
@zekefooser i was woundering if the ball you are using is a "special" model or something.. It doesnt look like its made of plastic, like the ones i usually use.. Great Tutorial by the way :)
Hi Zeke! Have you ever thought about the pros and cons about setting the ball in front position (the 5 bar guys are in an obtuse angle behind the ball) like Billy does it while setting up for his stationary stick passing series? Is it easier to explode the stationary pass from that front position? Dave Gummeson is setting it up close to back pin position (acute angle), I think you have more options if you do so, it easier to brush etc.. Do know why is Billy preferring this front setupA? Thanks!
Hey, is this still allowed or am I just confused? Rule 23.1.1 says “Once the ball is considered pinned or stopped, it must touch at least two player figures before it can be legally passed to the forward three-man rod.” I really like this series because my tic tac series in inconsistent but I don’t see why it’s legal
I wouldnt say it's a bad pass. I think when you do that option, you have a good feel for the opponent jumping to the wall. You can vary the distance where you catch it on the middle man, but it makes it easier if you dont have to move the 3 bar. Also, a good defender will usually not be in "no man's land", they may actually be way too far out trying to cover a lane pass, in which this case this may actually go inside of the 2nd guy. Against a bad defender just use primary passes.
Zeke, it's always amazing to watch you playin and thank you for having postet some slow motion sequences, too. It seems hard to me to understand how on earth you can loose any match vs. any player in the world... One question- i didn't see any player using the slingshot during playing on tournaments and you said that you usually don't use that shot while playing a tournament. Why isn't it a good alternative if all the jets (nearly everybody uses it) and Pin shots don't work? Greetings from Germany Felix
Hi Felix, Thank you. There are a lot of great players out there that are better than me :) It would be great if I never lost a match, in which case my name would be Frederic Collignon :) But that's why this game is so much fun. You should watch my match against Joe Hamilton to see a master of the slingshot. In order for the sling shot to be effective you have to do a tic tac series so that the defender commits to blocking straight shots and not angles. The sling shot alone is limited in options so while you may surprise somebody one time, it can be easy to block unless you force the defender to block other holes.
RE: The "Fake wall pass to lane" at 2:58. Is that pass legal anywhere on the five bar or just against the wall? Didn't that pass used to be illegal (touching then passing with the same man? Thank you for your videos and I look forward to your reply. Thanks Zeke!!!
Btw.. off the back wall pass isn't just great for singles. I do that pass often in doubles and in order for the goalie to trap with his 2 bar, he would need to bail completely out of goal in most cases. I'd say 98% of the time when I perform that pass in doubles the goalie never touches it. People also don't expect it, so it's become a normal pass in my series. Even though players know I do it, it's still extremely tough to trap when performed quickly.
I like the sound of the table... on german P4P-tables they have now very soft balls... very sticky and no sound at all. btw: you missed one pass... the one there the ball is pushed against the wall and been passed on the way back from it.
ITSF rules were made from American rules. And most American tournaments use ITSF rules now. I don't know your definition of a "1-man" passing rule. Every pass I show above is legal. Unless the ITSF has introduced some new rule that I don't know about.
ITSF rules were made from American rules, and Americans uses ITSF rules now. All i can say is you are wrong and that pass is legal here, Europe, or anywhere that uses ITSF.
I like that style..mixed in with longer pulls with a slight hitch.
Love
Cool, I will get it this year. Thank you very much, Zeke.
Amazing passes, thanks for sharing!

Great work, Zeke! Thanks.
Very good video thanks Zeke! Max.(Fan from France.)

next level!!! WOW!!!
cool tutorial, you should make more of these
Thanks Zeke!
You are correct :) If it hits the front or back, it's a different story.
Great job

nice video! really helpful
Zeke,
Good job!!
Tommy Adkisson,

@RockingBeast13 This particular table is about $1400. There are other models that are less expensive. Fireball is another good table.
awesome stuff. thx
awesome man
ohh thank you soo much dude. i was looking for this tutorial. 5 stars.. make a video of plentyshots,
Yes indeed.
Can this pass be done properly on a Fireball table?

What about the ,,slice pass''? (first middle guy to second front)
@zekefooser how much does the table cost?

How about a mini-slingshot pass?
