Now I want to build a career as a phony motivational speaker thanks to this text. Look for my "Life Rider" seminar coming soon to a high school gymnasium near you. I couldn't have done it without you Enduro Racer!
"Perfect run"... Tu m'étonnes !! Pas un crash, pas une collision, et il reste à peine 2 secondes à la fin... Infinissable à l'époque sur borne d'arcade !! 😂
So well played , that it makes you believe it actually easy, far from reality, i played this game back in 1989 , and it was a total nightmare , most of people never made past level one, and almost no one made it past level 2.
I rember this game from the local arcade. I must have been 9 years old or so. They had the the whole thing with the dirt bike seat. It was really impressive back then.
Recently came to this video as I have a home multicade star wars arcade1up modified with a bunch of games and this is one of them. Jesus is this a hard game! I play it while my little kids watch and root me on and the furthest I've been able to get is almost at the end of the 2nd checkpoint. You literally can not crash once or no way you're making it. I think the only way you beat this is memorizing EVERY roc location and jump angle you need to take. And frankly, no one's got time for that! Glad, however, someone did and I can finally show this video to my kids for them to see what it's like to get to the end.
Oh, man...Sega had some harsh racing games, but at least I'd _occasionally_ see someone make it to the end of Outrun or Super Hang-On or Power Drift. This...not a chance in hell. The big problem was that you had no control in the air, meaning that if your launch angle was even a TINY bit off, you were flying off the course and slamming into something hard or taking a plunge. Not to mention those damn rocks scattered all over the damn course, meaning that even if you never went off the course for a second you'd crash all over the place. "Test of endurance" indeed!
I only got to play this game once at an arcade, so when I saw it was released for the Sega Master System, I needed it. I cannot overstate my disappointment at the motocross Zaxxon presentation I was surprised with, but I still played the crap out of it.
Although it looked nothing like its arcade counterpart, the Master System version of Enduro Racer was still a fun game to play. It's one of my favorites.
I agree 100% I too was disappointed that it wasn't at least presented the same style as the arcade game but as a kid still played it as we had no other choice , I wish they made this as part of the sega ages for the 3ds because the other Sega super scaler arcade games look amazing on the 3ds!
@@tom11zz884 yep, and although that was for the best, I always admired Sega trying too hard to make it work. Thunderblade, Space Harrier, Afterburner, Outrun, and even Galaxy Force II ffs(lol). Hey they sort of almost succeeded sometimes. The nerd in me loved the balls in attempting these concepts on such weak hardware even though the gameplay suffered so much.
We used to call this the fly off the jump and land on rocks sega motorcycle game at the arcade I worked at ,was not very popular due to its difficulty, many would hold the intent to avoid the jumps like the plague while playing the later levels.
Bootleg version? This game together with Space harrier represented my introduction to the marvel of Sega's superscalar genre, even more then Outrun itself. The cabinet was quite something and contributed to the overall experience. I'd say that for a period which is for a summer vacation span it was a popular game, no matter how insanely difficult it was. Later on I played the speccy conversion, which somehow managed to retain the feeling of the gameplay, or at least that's how is it in my memory.
I really really loved this game when I was a child!!! Every time I went to the arcades in my country, played this again and again!!! It was hard but soooooo funny!!! I remember made it up to stage 3 at least, but barely remember that words at the ending, so I think beat it too. I'm so excited for so many nostalgia😆😁
However, at finish line of this text is a Engrish (uh, ah entire Japanese corporations learning English is in-sensitive due to mistranlastion compared to Google Translate)
Yo también me he preguntado eso, y eso que yo tengo una considerable habilidad para ciertos juegos, pero jamás logro pasarlos tan intacto como el que sube estos videos.
It has that ending spiel on the master system version too, which I always thought was funny. A twee little 10 minute racing game trying to be deep and profound
If this came out to Nintendo Switch, I must get that even if they put the Special Version with dirt bike upgrades such as engine, tires, suspension, easy handling, turbo acceleration, and no explosion collisons.
God damn, the ending gives life lessons and shit. Pretty deep, bro
You should see the one at the end of Indy 500.
Too bad maybe 0.3% of players back in the day actually got to see it....
After reading the text at the end, i feel like my life improved somehow

The SMS didn't have the power to pull off a competent version of this game, so they went used the Zaxxon engine for the game it appears
Me too. I was disappointed when I got the SMS version. The game was all right, but I still feel like I got jacked when I got this game back in the day

I'm almost 48 years old and I always wanted to see somebody, anybody finish this game....
Desde cuando un juego se cierra con palabras tan bellas?
I remember this. I actually beat the more difficult area's just took me over $100 to do so lol. Gotta love Pizza places back in the early 90s.

Sega's super scaler games have allways been amazing!
That "checkpoint" woman got a lot of work in the late 80s. Wonder what she's up to now?
0:21 - Sounded like the Master System Hang-On Countdown timer!

Wait, it said Herb 1987 in the title screen. I looked it up and this is the bootleg version.
@Tyler Delton I think he's pointing out the "herb" part. The copyright should say "SEGA"
Forgot about this one! *nostalgia ensues*
Great ending text, in a time when gaming was all about gameplay, not like today.
That race countdown beep sounds like that from the SEGA Master System version of Hang-On.
Wow that ending speech was crazy. I wish outrun had something like that
Historically this was also a period when enduro was indeed a thing.
I FINALLY FOUND THIS! I remember playing this in MAME.
Could never get past the water front stage but quite happy to know I nearly finished it.
How can he "Endure" that wedgey?
oh, hey, the meaning of Life is also at the end of the arcade version of this game.
The meaning of life is 42.
This was one of my favourite arcade games. I waited patiently for the Commodore 64 port....and it was utter crap!
No way it could have been as bad as C64 Super Hang-On!😅
Yeah man, that was deep.

Coming soon: Space Harrier/Enduro Racer crossover game!
So, I always made to the last level, without ever being able to complete it??? :(
what is the system your playing on it it the arcade version???
MAME
Gotta love that music. :D

Super Hang-On on a dirtbike
this came out BEFORE Super Hang-On.
@@HellwyckSo it is Hang-On on a dirtbike, then...
@@anderslarsen1321 Yes, that's what they were going for.
"It's not about the winning but the taking part" Ironic since back in the arcades if you don't have the credits you don't see that message.
Great looking game

Enduro Racer is a trail bike Hang-On version, but shorter as Hang-On.

Looks like fun.
I know some may disagree, but as a GAME, the SMS version was simply just more fun.
Fun Fact: He used a Bootleg version because there's written Herb instead of Sega
Good one, stringanime!
Nice congraturations text
In other words, a sega out run on 2 wheels...love it 😍😍

Who here thinks the song during the gameplay sounds like "Part-Time Lover" by Stevie Wonder?
Vahan Nisanian
Ha ha ha!!! Me!!!

Phil Collins' song, "Two Hearts, One Mind," brought me here.

Great game. Does anyone know how to play this via jamma or as an arcade version game at home other than Mame emulator?
That ROM you used was a bootleg. "(c) HERB 1987"
💯💯💯
SEGA AGES conversion for Switch please, ty.
1986, the year I was born.
I remember this game is quite expensive on arcade, it needs two coins
the UI is similar to Super Hang On.
Come posso scaricarlo sull cellulare
copyright Herb?
Tried a 100 times in the arcade to beat this son of a bitch game. Really hard compared to Outrun.
Motorcicle Out Run
I allways though the colours lacked in this game
no victor or loser ? a quoi elle sers alors cette compétition ?
Its a oneplayer game. Like Out Run and Hang On (and others by that era), you only race against time... That was how operators earned their money
The arcade game got a lot of my quarters.... but I beat that sumbitch.
Over the top...not for me...
outrun on motorbike
luedriver more like Super Hang-On on a Dirtbike
Lol Same generic SEGA announcer used in all there racing games
These graphics are not good
You've definitely started playing video games with PS4!
