Giving God the glory...these two sisters deserve the life to be cherished. Thanks to you George and every team that makes things beautiful lively and deserving
Even before repairs, that place is stunning!! Absolutely love the architecture, those windows in the door, the arched doorways! They just don't make homes like that anymore! So glad the George team was able to help them!!
Knowing the history of this place that their grandparents were able to buy this place is a feat in itself. This shows how things can change financially from one generation to the next. One generation bought it, but the other generations cannot maintain it.
A chair lift for the stairwell so she can get to other rooms upstairs would be very helpful. Cosmetic work is beautiful but didn’t see what they did to facilitate bedrooms for both of them.
I agree, a chair lift is definitely needed & I pray that George was also able to facilitate that as well as fixed the bedrooms upstairs. I think bcs 1 of the sisters is disabled they showed that reveal separate bcs Vonnie has difficulty doing the stairs. The great thing they did by putting their bedrooms downstairs it has better access to outside without Vonnie having to do the stairs. God bless everyone who made their dreams come true. Thank you Jesus ✝️ 😇👑📖💒❤🌹🙏
Laurie Huber They didn’t ask for anything to help with her disability tho. They wanted the house to *look better* & George & his team did that. Y’all need to stop nitpicking all the time & be grateful for what they did, they didn’t have to pick them at all.
@@MsNoPixel They did not ask for their bedroom to be turned into a living room either. What they done for the 2 ladies is wonderful, my Dad was a craftsman plasterer, so I know that fixing those ceilings was a massive job, by the end of it I was waiting to see where the bedrooms were, but we are left to assume they are on the next floor, and getting to the next floor would be near impossible for Vonnie.
So I didn’t cry until I saw all the people together at the end for them come together. To have that many people in your community come out for someone is pretty cool to see since now a days people don’t really care that much. Shows how Great these ladies are in their community.
Amen and Amen. George and his team always awesome workmanship and design BUT not possible without God Himself. Way terrific Black ¨choir¨ giving God the glory.
Beautiful so glad you lovingly restored that home. George, you just gave them a gorgeous home they can make even more great memories in. Their grandparents. WOW! Beautiful voices giving glorious praise! Go team GEORGE!
I really like when George helps people of color, mostly black people. Their stories are always the most touching and very much needed. I only wish to see a very deserving family feeling like someone cares. Always brings the feels. I cry. Like this lady, she is really deserving of a house fix up, yet she cant believe its happening. Alot of people of color are so overlooked in shows like this yet are the very ones this show is made for, people that need help yet cannot get on their own. George you and your show is a god send, not just for helping people that really deserve it but also those that are just deserving of kindness. I love you George and crew, but those that make this show work. So many need help esp after disasters and no insurance!! I give a huge THANK YOU TO GEORGE TO THE RESCUE show. God Blesses you for your work, best believe that!!
The Most Beautiful House George has ever been called in for aid. Happens to have been Bought by these Ladies, Grandfather ! The Value of an original kept plaster work and marble ornate fireplaces, is worth a great deal today. So pleased they kept it . Perhaps some of the younger members of their family will continue doing up the rest?
Restoring the original ceiling is absolutely a great idea. The whole living, kitchen and dining looks great. I wish they did something with the old facade and the front door.
Yes, thank you Jesus for George and the renovation crew. This is 1 of the best renovations I've seen. Praise the Lord for giving these sisters. I love how they were able to bring back the unique history of the family brownstone. My only hope that they completely renovated all the upper floors as well. I love how the team & the family and neighbors came over & blessed the house with a gospel song. Congratulations Velma & Vonnie. May God continue to bless and keep you safe always and covered in the blood of Jesus, Amen Amen Amen 😇❤🌹👑📖💒🙏🥰🏰
They usually don't do an entire house, they do what the owners ask for and very often quite a bit more. They were asked to do 1 floor here but ended up doing two because they decided flipping those two floors would work better for those lovely ladies. Now all they really need a stairlift for Vonnie who can't do stairs.
I really wanted to see the front of the house done up so it looked as good on the outside as it does on the inside ….I do think a chair lift on each set of stairs / steps would have been amazing as both sisters having safe and easy access to the whole house would have been great ( I’m sure they could have found a sponsor to supply and fit them )
To be honest, I for one do not like to read comments when it comes to kind and loving human beings offering their services to others who r need. Better to just watch and appreciate the good deeds people are doing to rescue/help others who desperately needs it.
Yes to God be the glory!! He is working through George and all his co-workers bringing good to people in need! Thanks for being the hands and feet for Jesus✝️
Two beautiful souls, praise the Lord for all the love in everyone's hearts who helped and support these wonderful ladies. I wish I had someone like you in my life! Blessings and love💕🙏🌍🕊
Wow. What a gift for these two. Beautiful redo. The smaller sister has mobility issues though, if you noticed the before pics, there was plenty of room for her to get around with her walker or wheelchair. Now I'm wondering how she'll do with the traditional room arrangement with lots more furniture. Also if the bedrooms are upstairs, one of those chair lifts would be a godsend.
Great episode, it still needs a lot more work. The community should start a go fund me page to continue the Renovations. I hope the basement apartment was done up nicely. Gorgeous women of God. Their skin is Flawless.
Thats a great idea, but I think it would take hundreds of thousands of dollars to renovate the whole building. AirBnB might be the way to go if they had just a few bedrooms and bathrooms sorted, I stayed in an AirBnB in Brooklyn in the summer, it was about $400 a week.
What a wonderful answer to the prayers of these faithful servants of the Lord. Thank you God for blessing these two lovely sisters. Amazing job George & team, so outstandingly beautiful.
Please please please show more of the after shots. This renovation was amazing! Perhaps you could do a few follow-ups on how everyone is settling in to their lovely homes too? Wish you were in Australia, but as you aren't, could you possibly go to a homeless shelter and help the children? Blessings for all you do. 🙏✌🏼❤️
George and his various teams do go to many places and do rescues, including animal shelters, halfway houses, schools, things along the line of helping the places that help others. There are several episodes where viewers can see that.
Tears in my eyes. I hope everything is done in an sustainable way and fine for them and they also do not gett problems with tax as sometimes this happens around these shows with big bestowals. A lot of love to their spirits!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
OMG, what a renovation! That was easily at least a $100K reno job. Good for George to the Rescue and all the people who made contributions to the restoration of that incredibly beautiful home. Too bad the outside wasn't done, but then - the assessment would have probably gone way up and the sisters wouldn't be able to afford the property taxes. Sigh.
Good point on the tax increase issue. However, I surely would have loved to see the front door refinished. It is a stunning piece of architecture. If I had the skill I'd certainly do it for them myself. The one sister was in tears when she saw the ceiling uncovered and brought back as it was originally . I felt as she saw it she was envisioning the time when her Grandparents lived there. I wish we could have seen the bedroom. I do worry how they will manage the stairs to it. A fantastic job. My all time favorite rescue!!
@@sammyjo8109 - I know it was such a fantastic building and they were such wonderful ladies! I can't understand how everyone overlooked the need for a stairlift for Vonnie, especially considering they were aware of her mobility issues.. They flipped things around but Vonnie can't access the kitchen.
Sort of reminds me of being in central Mexico up in the mountains. The little town we would stay . Walking down the side streets it looked sad, old beaten up, weathered double doors etc. However, when the doors were opened it was a stunning area. A large stone patio with greenery and sometimes a well in the center. Often a huge 6-7 foot bird cage with their parrot enjoying the fresh air.
That place has be worth a goldmine. I'm glad they haven't sold it, instead kept it in the family. Also.....I'm an atheist but I love me some gospel choir. This reno looks stunning. I love the work that was done, BUT I immediately noticed the radiator and walls in the vestibule were unpainted. Restoring the ceiling was a bonus. I believe it was dropped, to save on heating costs, and hide its flaws. That is a huge house, and maybe the funds were limited in terms of what could get done. I wish the home could've been renovated when they were younger, so that the sisters could have a longer time to enjoy it in its renovated state. I'm happy for their blessing, and I know they must be truly grateful. May they create good memories in their home, as they continue to be a blessing to their community.

Wow! This is SO FANTASTIC!!! I hope that someone comes through with a lift, for the stairs. As an accessibly challenged person, those stairs are impossible and will restrict many folks from being able to access the kitchen area now. Please! Someone send them a lift!
There was a brief clip of the kitchen bench installer dry cutting the manufactured stone. Stone dust is as bad as asbestos, we have lots of kitchen bench top workers and stone masons in Australia dying of silicosis, a fatal lung disease.
Right. I work in the dust collection industry, and there are lots of things trades workers are subjected to that cause cancer and other health issues.
