Blue light blocking will in fact help to reduce eyestrain and help to relax your eyes. But it's not going to prevent your eyesight from being harmed from the near work and staring into a screen 8 or more hours a day. Hopefully, your going every year to get your checks which often times people aren't even aware that their eyesight has slowly been changing without them noticing it. You would be surprised by how many patients I used to see that came in for an eye exam after failing their vision test at the DMV. Let me ask you a question. When driving at night do you ever feel like things aren't quite as clear and sharp as they should be and road signs seem more and more difficult to read? If your answer is yes, you should already be wearing glasses with a prescription in them That's an early symptom of nearsightedness. The medical name is "myopia" in case your interested. I'm guessing that when you have said in your previous videos when getting glasses to review that you don't need prescription glasses yet, your likely assuming that you're going to be needing glasses in the foreseeable future. You probably think you will need them for doing near work so a reading prescription. Well actually your far more likely to be nearsighted then farsighted. Here's why, when your doing near work everyday for 8 or more hours everyday your eyes become transfixed on what your doing and your rarely looking away from your screen. Something you most likely aren't aware of is that also causes you to blink your eyes less often which blinking is what keeps your eyes nice and moist. So by not blinking as often your eyes are getting less moisture which in turns is why your eyes start feeling dry and raw and your eyes feel tired. I'm betting you have never heard of the "20/20/20 rule" Here's what it is, every 20 minutes you should take a 20 second break by looking away from your screen and at something at least 20 feet away to allow your eyes to refocus. That exercise is almost as important as wearing your blue light blocking glasses. In one of your previous video from two years ago when you had just received glasses from Vooglam to review I had suggested that the next time you receive a request from a glasses site for you to review some more of their glasses that you should order one pair in this prescription; -.50 SPH in both eyes and leave the CYL and axis spaces blank. Use 62 for your PD number which is necessary when ordering prescription glasses. It's a very very weak prescription but just enough for you to notice an improvement when wearing them. This won't in anyway do any harm to your eyes. Your going to like that pair so much that you will want that in all of your glasses from then on. but you should still go for an eye exam and if you do have that issue with driving at night be sure to tell the doctor.
Which pair do you like? ⬇️ Have a blessed Sunday! 🙏🏼 Like, comment, subscribe, & share with a friend! 🤍
