I used to do these the time. Never dawned on me to use that little dot of white on the planet. It totally turned it into a very real looking sphere. Excellent video!

That reminds me this one time this girl in my fourth grade class was impressed with this artist's drawing so she told her that he should be an artist when he grows up.
what spray cans are you using? (brand and type) and what material is the one you are painting on? :)
I never cared about art, untill spacepainter. Now I actually like art for the first time. Awesome!
What type of canvas do you use to get the smooth looking effect?
It's Gloss poster board. You can get it at walmart pretty cheap..

Great work with spray paint...loved the finish.
Yes space captures many people's attention with spray paint because of how good it comes out and how easy it is. I recommend trying different things tho. Not just space. You lose certain credit if its a space piece (as opposed to something else) NOT SAYING ITS BAD

after watching my friend do this I thought I would give it a try and it is a lot of fun, however I can't seem to master the cave and mountain effect. In the long run it is a pretty expensive hobby, but it gets me outside and doing something unique.
i like it. It seems that glossy paper take off just the rite amount of paint to give it some depth. very good. thank you.

This is one of my favorite video's on youtube
try to warm your cans in the sun for a while before you paint if its cold. move the cans fast as you spray so the layer of paint is thinner.

poster board. canvas will will but you need to coat it with white paint first to take away the bumps
the reflection of the light on to the planet at 6:12 makes it look even more badass!

Just started using the mountain textures. Going to try this circular/fisheye type tomorrow and going to use this as the example. Hopefully it turns out well...
