Winter & hunting: S&W or Springfield 10mm or Deagle in 50ae/44mag (weather or type of hunt dictates carry), Summer: S&W 5.7x28 or S&W 10mm. Truth be known the 10mm is my workhorse year round, its nice to change up depending on my mood. I think your choices are great, are you using bear rounds for your .40cal in summer?
I have a new to me Shield 40, that’s running pretty good out of the box. I could see it becoming a year rounder if no reliability issues come up. I have a pocket .380 that seems be around like it’s second nature. I see almost daily printing of other people’s odds and ends. I just don’t want that for me, so I like slim, and I’m often practicing with two finger grip pistols. You
I carry appendix. Thinner is better for sure. It also helps to have a holster that keeps the butt of the grip tucked into your body. Wethepeople holsters.
@@montanamusings If you were wondering, the 357 Sig conversion barrel for the Shield is a Remsport. I've been thinking about getting one, but the 40 S&W is running well. I think I will order a magguts spring to try in one of my Shield mags. I got a Galco holster, which seems solid, but I haven't used it much so far. Not sure what it'll be like over the longer haul. But, I need more shooting with my Shield.
👍👍
Great review Steve! I definitely go thinner, and lighter in the summer.
I wish I could get thinner and lighter!😂

If I'm going where there might be bear, I'm sticking with the 357 sig with 16 rounds. Thanks for watching!

@craigm1954 Thanks for the info! Have a good one!
I pack either 40sw or 45acp all year long. Good vid. I usually pack Speer Gold Dots in both calibers.
I just had some range ammo with me for the video. I like Sig hollow points for two-legged predators and fmj's in bear country. Thanks for watching!
