I'm 43 years old now...There on the corner where Rick Konig the lawyer is now, used to be a cake bakery. Since I was alittle girl my dad always took me there to buy me a Birthday cake...he never missed a cake there for my Birthday....that was a very long time ago now..my dad passed away when I was 29 of lung cancer...but I will never forget that building, my dad and the cakes....I sure miss my dad.....
These little towns have so much character and color. I love thinking about all the little stories there. Makes me think of Falkner for some reason. Great walk and I like the curtaining effect you used. -H
Lived there for three years in the 60s as a kid. 6 thru 8th grade. Loved it there and was crushed when we moved away. Was a great place for a kid to live. Lots of fishing spots and going to the state fair every day during it's run. Fond memories.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I lived in Sedalia in the early 1980's. It is very interesting to see both what has changed and what is alarmingly exactly the same!
Lived there in the 60s. Glad to see the downtown movie theater is still there. Is it still in use? Saw Easy Rider there when it came out with my older cousin who had to pretend to be my dad to get me in😂
Thank you for taking the time to stroll through my hometown.
Glad you enjoyed it!
AWESOME! Amazing Footage! Great Virtual Tour! 👍👍😊😊

Thank you for this tour of my hometown. A lot has changed since I moved away in 1977. And yet, so much is the same.

Graduated in sedalia 1986. Back then there was just one high-school.......
One of my most favorite cities to explore in Missouri!
Is the old Smith Cotton Highschool still standing?
@davidchosewood647
Yes it is! It serves as a second highschool
@@Biden504 ok thank you. Haven't been there since the 70s.
Back in 55 there were 2 HS. Guess it got lost back then???
What's the church at 3:31 called?
The young kids did that American Graffiti thing in the 40s - 50s down Ohio street. Just saying.
