After searching I have come to the conclusion that the song was only in the documentary where you found it, I could be wrong. I really wish I could make out the lyrics some words are hard to decipher
It does not exist anywhere else, and the singer Ritchie Morris was apart of "Ian & Ritchie", A south African Folk duo with songs such as "Look across the river". They released a few more songs but my memory is weak, you can look them up at Discogs. "Ritchie Morries" on the other hand isn't on Discogs, neither is this song. With a decent speaker system, I have come to the conclusion what the complete lyrics are but I'm too lazy to upload it now haha.
this comes from an American rockabilly tune about Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812, it seems like the Rhodesians took a surprising amount of American inspiration, I find it interesting
Yeah so no one really knows about this song, me and my friend only found it like last night and it appeared in some 1960's documentary which i have linked in the description, the title is just a guess just like that falkland's war song.
@@major_awesome7253 yeah my friend took a screenshot from the credits of the documentary which says it yeah, but since its from way back when the quality is piss poor lol
Legends one and all
Great Song!

The drums should be easy to mimic since they pretty much just repeat most of the time
