I agree with you on the tail lights,that nobody makes aftermarket,also nobody makes aftermarket parts for the coupes,you see more stuff for the sedan 😢😢

I am gonna get the 2018 four door eventually and those have aftermarket parts but I’m rocking this car for now. My ford didn’t beep in the backup camera but it doesn’t bother me since I’ve never had a car that beeped before.
I like all the upgraded features of the 16-17 models like the headlights and tailights and other tech features. I got the 2013 exl v6 but its still fun and looks nice.
with the automatic the throttle blips when you down shift with paddle shifters. You can see the fuel usage meter briefly go up when you downshift when engine braking. Its fucking awesome i love it

I wish I could say my car didn't start this moring, too. : P Dont get me started on the Dodge. This Honda is a blast! You hit the nail on the head when you talked about the thrill of ACTIVE DRIVING.
Great video on a great car! I went from a 2006 2.4L manual coupe to a 2015 6-6 Coupe. Wow what a car. My main complaint is the sound system is not nearly as good as the 2006 was. The '06 had a fantastic system. 2nd complaint, the sunroof whistles when tilted up above 45+mph. Annoying. Honda definitely cheeped out on a few things, but improved quite a few others. You might try using the first camera view on the backup cam. I found that one to be more useful.
I'm pretty sure your shift mechanism is exactly like mine in the 8th gen accord. Cosmo racing is where I got my short shifter attachment and I think CT engineering makes one too. Basically it extends the inside lever and the shifts are really tactile now. It also gets rid of some of that slack in gear, but doesn't completely eliminate it...
I'm surprised that there isn't more aftermarket support for these, but I guess they really aren't all that common and it's not like a few years ago when everybody was modding their cars. I will say, a car like this is an absolute gem and just about every car reviewer on youtube has high regard for them. With the car market as of late, I wouldn't be surprised to see these going for $50-60k five to ten years for good examples in stock form. These are outstanding cars that perform above their class.
There's enough parts available for the J35Y to fully build the engine and build a lot of the transmission, as well as tons of exhaust and bolt-on options, you can basically do anything you just gotta look around
No love for the coupes. I have a X gen civic coupe and it kills me there are no aftermarket tailights. All I did was add a red overlay to the turning/back up lights to have the whole light strip one solid color.
Picked up a 09 accord coupe 6-6 and the shifter was tight until I really daily drove it and fucked around playing with it. Just normal wear and tear from driving (slop in the gears, I’d say the throw is relatively short considering I own a 96 accord 5mt and the throw is extremely long on the gears)
Dont nitpic my man. I wish i could have got a manual when i got mine. Both times, when i got my 2011 EX-L and then when I traded that and got my 2017 Touring. But yeah, the aftermarket is slim pickings for these. That sucks

i think the “boxes” in the reverse camera stands for one car length. because that’s what it means with the blind spot camera. not sure tho
If you have a Touring it has the sensors but they trade off is you get those massive circles on your car

I have Siri moto 9th gen Si short throw shifter adapter on my 9th gen Accord 6_6. Fits perfectly 💯.
