I never fail to be impressed with the dedication and energy miners expend hauling all the equipment necessary to bore into solid rock in the hopes of extracting hoped-for wealth up to areas that are a task just to walk to. And I greatly appreciate the effort you put forth just to bring us videos of the past in locations most of us will never get to see in person. Great video, Thank you.
Hi Graham, what a cool mine with some great artefacts, especially that Ingersoll compressor. Some nice mineralisation going through the mine, it looks amazing on video. So cool to see all of the miners graffiti from back in the day. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Thanks for the trip, last 2 times there was HOT for us. More diggings to the right of adit. Lower tunnel was still open when we did it but didn't enter. I like the snow. Cachman's had it claimed in the 80's along with the Cleo and others. I hear that road is now a jungle.
WoW ! How beautiful is that area. How much I wish I could get there and video that waterfall after the snow melts away a bit more. What a cool old compressor, Thanks for the video
Always wanted to explore abandoned mines but me being 70 years old I don’t think I could hike as far beautiful scenery keep up the good work I just subscribe to your channel you’re very knowledgeable thank you
Frank from Exploring Mines is in his 70's and dragging his much younger girlfriend around with him in crazy mines. Don't be afraid. Many in Nevada you can walk in..
When I was younger, I.E. 18, I thought I could go anywhere on my own like Jeremiah Johnson. The military showed me you have strength in numbers! There's Soo many ways people can die.🤔
Great content👍. We just came back from the trail but couldn’t figure out how to cross the creek near the logging trailer. Do you need to hike along the creek to upstream to cross it?
That was some hard rock mining from the look of it. The good part for the miners was no timbering needed. Kind of surprised to see that it was being worked during the WWII years...must have had some mineral that was of strategic value.
lol, you wanted to do a revisit over taking the short waltz over to the Cleopatra. jk, both of these mines are torture to get to this time of year with all the brush.
Very helpful video! We never thought to use the talus slope to bypass the DC 🤦🏻♂️ . Guess we are going back! Any chance you guys have attempted the next mine to the south? Is ‘she’ accessible?
In basic terms: Stopes define area of a mine where ore was removed either from overhead (preferable), below (underhanded stoping), or from horizontal deposits where pillars are often left in place to support the ceiling.
Sure looks like a lot of time, effort, and money were invested in this mine with probably very little, if any, profit to come out of it. Makes you wonder what possessed these men to keep going.
Some investor probably dumped a bunch of money into this place. I can't imagine the miners were otherwise interested in driving the crosscut further. Thanks for watching!
Maybe it was on purpose used as a NOL (Net Operations Loss) to create a tax write-off. The wealthy will sometimes go to great lengths to avoid paying taxes.
No seriously... We are not going to stop until you face justice... I almost got the commenting bot finished .. you will never be able to stop the museum But I can stop you.
Imagine some of the miners went to WW2 ,being underground then one day they are shipped to fight the war, must be scary, love the video

Not sure what it is about mine exploring in the PNW, but there’s always a Rainier beer can to be found!!

One is never to old to enjoy the wonders of Mother Nature
What a sight with snow melt waterfalls all around. Looks beautiful up there.
Yes it was very nice up there!
Thank you, I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks for the exploration & video. It was one long hike. Thare must have been a road at one time.
See you next time Graham! Regards from Ody Slim
Yep there was a road, would have been nice to use…Thanks for your continued support!
Great video! Those cascades were cool. I love that air compressor.
Glad you enjoyed!

Always the Best. Thank you !
Thanks so much!
The air compressor is amazing. The fly wheel being nearly 6 ft tall and the pump rod flywheels only 15 in or so would of created a ton of air.
This mine is full of mold, hope you're feeling well
The Pahrump Valley Museum, is going to have their way with you. LAWS COMIN!!! #poof

Thanks for watching!
Hi Graham, this was interesting. I've always wondered what mines look like when there is water in them and how they age being neglected.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the support!

Did you backpack and camped at or around the mine? Seems like you would have to at least sleep for a night.
Just a day trip. Took about 10 hours plus driving time.
Looks like a homemade dump bed mounted on a tracks to maybe tow behind a dozer.
How do you find these mines?
Go do the merchant mine. You have to did it open again but its worth it
28:16 . Is that a bat hanging in the upper right corner of the screen?
One of the few mines without ore chutes. The dates of the miners' graffiti suggest pre- & post-WW2 workings.
Anyone else wanted to see him spin the wheel
All this time and I still don’t know what on Earth a “stope” is.

I like you mine experiences but is it really safe to do this by yourself
Это место , золотодобыча является происхождение таких многих рассказах.
To hell with your communist BS.
All the trash left behind. Humans are the the biggest threat to mother earth
