I would love for mika to be alive, even more so for Lafter to be, but the way it ended it was fine. It shows what happens when you become too greedy. Atleast it had a happy ending in the first season.
Mika is literally the deadest a gundam protagonist has ever gotten, the only other one to die was left ambiguous for fucking ever before a eventual sequel by a different writer alltogether confirmed it. IBO outright showed mika die and then had numerous characters comment on how dead he was in the future. The only thing that can save that guy is an alternative ending in the currently ongoing manga
probably, its just gonna be a 1to1 adoption aside from anyone having hopeful thinking, all the manga versions of the shows are save for special cases like origin's universe that is a retelling of the original franchise in its own universe currently on zeta gundam define.
