What a wonderfully atmospheric and truly inspiring piece of railway modelling. I look forward to perhaps getting the chance to see this at a show one day.
An absolutely sublime layout that since I saw in MRJ No284, I have become totally enchanted with. I'm a huge fan of Cameo layouts. Thank you so so much for sharing.
Thank you for the kind comment. The figures are a mixture of Modelu (the two ladies by the cottage are part of the Pendon Collection, if I remember rightly) and Dart Castings. I also like Andrew Stadden figures and some of the loco crews are those.
Hi Bill, Thank you for your kind comment. I did initially have Dinghams coupliings fitted to the stock but I have now reverted to three links. As the layout is operated from the front it's not really a problem apart being a bit fiddly sometimes, and I like the look better. Paul
Stunning and exquisitely modelled. I love the simplicity and nothing cluttered. The figures are amazing. Lovely.
Very nice, I’m in Perth Western Australia and I was there avoiding the stinging nettle‘s to get a view of what was going on👍😎
Just been mulling over an old copy of MRJ and saw this - so happy that a quick search brought me here! Beautiful and atmospheric
Thank you for your very kind comment, Nick.
That's quite a shunting puzzle!
Delightful!

Thank you so much for that very kind comment - much appreciated. Paul
Makes you wonder how the railway companies could possibly have covered their costs running such tiny trains.
Great layout, nothing overstated. The figures are very good -- could you tell us who makes them, please?

Nice use of real sound. Locos drifting around rather than wuff wuffwuffing with one wagon. 👍
Brilliant 👍👍what couplings do you use, Dingham?
