Love you two and your honest opinions. Grew up in a small town , moved to a small town , moved back to the same small town I grew up in. Parents were parents to every child in the neighborhood. 1980 Compton, straight out of bootcamp San Dog. My friend Darryl invited me to spend the weekend at his mom's place in Compton where he grew up. I had no idea where it was or anything about the area. We meet up with some of his friends and head out for the night. As the night progressed, we were walking along one of the residential streets and came upon a young couple sitting in a car. Some of the guys started putting their faces up to the windows and rocking the car. The girl inside started screaming and next thing you know, all the lights on the porches came on, all the way down the street. Out walked men from each house armed with bats, chains and a few guns. I thought my life was over. Luckily Darryl defused the situation, apologized and we went on. Yeah, some towns don't play.
It's a shame you didn't get to react to the original video before it was edited by the Liberal snowflake media! I pray Jason wins his lawsuit against CMT, The View and Whoopi for defamation calling him a racist! Great reaction! Love from a Texas small town senior citizen
I'm so glad that everyone is coming together !!! This is what we kneed no matter what race you are no matter what God you pray to. This year gives me hope for the future.
The message of this song seems to be resonating with a huge number of reasonable citizens. Maybe folks are starting to recognize they can stand up for themselves as well as others and that they are not alone. Whether it's an actual town, a neighborhood, a school or a place of worship, we all have a "small town" to protect and defend. Thank you so much for posting your reaction.
I am from a small town and the song is very true of a small town. It doesn’t matter your race or religion we all have each other’s back. This is definitely small town America
Powerful, honest, and stand up reaction. Nobody wants violence and rioting in their town. This song is NOT racist at all. Where do you hear a reference to color of your skin? If people have a problem with it....then look at the news clips in this video that really happened. The problem is with those people in the clips that think they can destroy people's lives and what they have worked hard for. We ain't going for it. Great and honest message Aldean.
Much love and respect to you both! Absolutely love reacting to you both, you both are so amazing with your views! We all need to come together! I’m from a small town and we don’t play with these people who disrespect the law, other citizens and this wonderful country! God bless you both! ❤️
Small, small town here. Maybe 1500. We know and love each other, went to school together, played together, fought together, laughed together, cried together. We take care of our own. Not perfect, but definitely home. We will stand together if the need arises!! One big family!! Thank God I live here.!

I live in a small town (177)and we take care of each other .I'm 75, one of my neighbors brings me wood every winter. I had a stroke and my neighbors put me up in their home until I could live by myself. When I had my knee replaced they had me in their home until I was able to go home. Thank you Shawn And Mel for this and all your reactions. I lived in a small town of around 950 people in Montana from birth until I was 26. Everyone knew everyone and yes, when someone had a problem the community would band together and help however we could. I moved north of Seattle and somehow survived living there for 24 years. I only knew a handful of friends. Society there was heartless. They would rather kick you when you were down rather than lend a helping hand. I moved back home but I know longer know everyone. Just the old school people I grew up with. Even though they may be strangers, they will still do what they can do if someone is in need. God bless you both. 🙏

You're right, those small towns have a history of murdering and lynching black people. You definitely took care of your own but those days are over and I bet you won't try that again in a small town.
Just watched your reaction to this video. It brings me great happiness that you understand that this song isn’t about color it’s about community in our small towns! We actually love and care about our small towns. It’s actually about the people in our communities and what we stand for and how we will stand up for it. It’s about the humans we actually care about
I was raised in a small town. Everyone stood up with each other. Even those that didn't always get along when the chips were down they came together for their neighbors.
I love this song being from a very small town i wish the world learned something from us ! No matter our color we all stick together and look out for eachother the way it should be !!
Y’all are great!! I live in a small town in Alabama. You know this is the anthem around here!!!! And by the way this ain’t the original video. He had to recut it bc of all the back lash he was getting in the last few days. I saw the original and it had a news clip of farmers coming to help one of their own. That makes me sad bc it was a good video. People are just getting to sensitive and need waking up!!! #trythatinasmalltown #jasonaldean
I really in joy being with u all in this video I will catch you all again God Bless you go Jason and I am from a small town. Let them try it in my small town and see how far its going to go.
Love you two. Your honest opinions are a breath of fresh air. The media (among others) say this is racist! How so? All its saying is "if you come to these small towns and think you'll get away with that 💩, you'd better think twice because you may not be going home tonight". Mic drop!
Uvalde Texas was a very small town, where were all the AR15 gun loving republicans while 19 children were slaughtered for going to school. Jason thinks he is tough but did not write this song.
Give me a break, its a song, People owning AR15's should be able to. They weren't the police at the school or pulling the trigger. Blame the shooter quit being such a one sided wonder.
Leave law biding Citizens Guns alone we have the Right to protect our lives And our family's You dems won't do the Death penalty to mass murderers nor will biden Put police in schools to Safe our children cause If kids don't die stupid People can't blame the Guns. It's against the law To kill kids. You think They care about gun laws. We have the strictest gun laws in dem Run cities and it does Nothing. You libtards will not take our guns And thank God for Republicans who follow The constitution.
@@eileencastillo6323 What makes you think I'm not upset. All I'm saying put the blame where it squarely belongs on the shooter. Not on people because they own a gun. It doesn't matter what gun they own or what political beliefs they have. Losing Children for what ever reason is the worst thing I can think of. But blaming people who had nothing to do with it is just stupid. Lets work on stopping the shooters.
So what's your point. Because you dont have one in that word salad other than a criminal did a bad thing. The RIGHT of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. We arent the criminals. You dont get to accuse the innocent like that because another person committed a crime. The AR15 did not pull it's own trigger so it's not the boogie man.

Yes There is nothing better then being from a small town. When you are sick everyone in town knows you are sick. Then you hear a knock at your door. Then you open it and what should be there? But a pot of chicken soup and a note saying “get well soon” I am from Hagerstown Maryland. Love it too! We do take care of each other and Pay know mind to skin color. Everyone is family!! You need food you got it, you need a ride you got it! You need anything and someone will help you get it! Just the way we all are!! Great song and video guys. God Bless❤
I love watching y'all's reaction videos. I live in Alabama. The town I live in is much bigger than it was when I was growing up, but I believe that we would still have each other's backs even if we hadn't met. I would be proud to call y'all neighbor. God bless y'all. Keep doing what you're doing.❤

Jason Hit the nail on the head I grew up in a very small farming community surrounded by cornfields and pastures the town of about 600 people tops. We all look out for each other. And won’t tolerate that crap!!
First thing ,,you caught me off guard with name SHAWN ,,lost my brother shawn, April 26 2022 at 44 years old,,now your your reaction ,I LOVE IT ,,LIFE IS TOO SHORT, HELP EACH OTHER ,WE NEED MORE LOVE AND DEFINITELY NEED MORE RESPECT,,,YALL HAVE MY RESPECT
There they are!! My people! Btw I’m glad you liked it. Great song imo and true
Love you guys. I spent 40 years in Chicago and now 13 in a smaller town. I feel much safer, people care about each other and there is a sense of pride.
Appreciate you guys
I knew you two would react to this song this way. Another great reaction. We must make our stand against evil, family!! God bless!🙂❤
Shawn and Mel- I am from a small town here in TN and I love this song. Kudos to Jason Aldean. He is doing some good stuff and I support him.
Love this damn song!! It's the Gods honest truth! Don't bring that shit to a small town, small community's. We take care of our own! 🇺🇲✌❤🎶
It’s about the humans we actually care about
Girl, I can see that you are into this song! Love watching your face while you’re listening and beboppin’
I was raised in a small town. Everyone stood up with each other. Even those that didn't always get along when the chips were down they came together for their neighbors.
I'm thankful for growing up and still living in a small town. Ain't nothing like it💙
UNITED WE STAND... DEVIDED WE FALL.....
❤❤
I love this song and it is what we need.
Moved my family from NYC to a small town…this song is very true, and loving my small town!
You guys stay true to yourself, god bless you both ❤
My hometown's population was 832, no police force, no constable, county sheriff's office was 30 min away, we took care of ourselves and our town!
You said it right Mel! Some people want to live wild kingdom. Most of us don’t. Great reaction y’all!
I am so very proud of my neighbor Jason and so very happy that he decided to film his video for this song in my town 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love your honest reaction.
Mic drop!
You guys are so awesome open minded and full of love ❤️ this is why I always come back for your reactions!
You're the best!
Why did they remove the part at the end with the farmer in the wheelchair talking about helping each other
Copyright violation. The producers used footage they didnt secure before using it. Along with a fox 5 Atlanta segment.
From a small Town in Texas..We love ya'll Shawn and Mel❤❤❤
Love 💕 you two !!! You all always hit the nail on the head !!!! Thank you 👍
Uvalde Texas was a very small town, where were all the AR15 gun loving republicans while 19 children were slaughtered for going to school. Jason thinks he is tough but did not write this song.
Give me a break, its a song, People owning AR15's should be able to. They weren't the police at the school or pulling the trigger. Blame the shooter quit being such a one sided wonder.
Leave law biding Citizens
Guns alone we have the
Right to protect our lives
And our family's
You dems won't do the
Death penalty to mass murderers nor will biden
Put police in schools to
Safe our children cause
If kids don't die stupid
People can't blame the
Guns. It's against the law
To kill kids. You think
They care about gun laws. We have the strictest gun laws in dem
Run cities and it does
Nothing. You libtards will not take our guns
And thank God for
Republicans who follow
The constitution.
@@eileencastillo6323yes. It's a crime that PERSON committed. Guns cant commit crimes. They arent even sentient.
Hi from a smallish town called Brownsburg, Indiana :) This song is fire!!!!!!!!!! Much love ya'll!!
So true! We all got to protect and serve, for faith, family, friends!
Shout from Harrah Oklahoma and yeah that’s how it is! Big Respect
Bless you folks for your open minds and sense of fairness.
Love watching you guys react! Thanks 😊 love the song! My new favorite song!
Great Reaction! Great Song! Peace is not automatic- it’s something you pursue and once you find it you have to defend it! Amen!
I've been listening to you for a long time. I really love your energy and your honest reactions
Thank you I love your Channel and I'm standing with Jason
Awesome review! This raises such emotions of Gratitude for our small towns and the beautiful people that live there! It doesn't matter the color of your skin..... you're my neighbor! We all want our community to be safe!
Love this reaction. I served in the US NAVY from 2001-2012 and worked with everyone from all walks of life. I support my police and teach them to respect authority. Thanks for the reaction. God bless!
God Bless❤
Yes ,small town country boy here..Thank you guys..
Loved your reaction. God bless and keep doing what you're doing.
You said it best, "some people just want trouble" thank you!
From a small town, less than 750 20 years ago, now maybe 2000. Love you're take on this video
I’m small town white grandma with 3 grown sons. Love you both. We’re on the same page and need to stay united!
