Great video, Anthony. For you to say the NVH is good, that means the Active Noise Control does make a difference. I have a pre-facelift, and road noise levels vary a lot with the types of road surfaces - rough tarmac being the loudest. I still love the car though. 😊
Yes I also felt the same thing compare to my previous test drive of the 2017 TCP version.
Does the noise cancellation need to be manually activated? I have been in both latest cr-v and the previous generation, both showed quite loud road tyre noise, what a shame, otherwise this car is really perfect. Also tried cx-5, that car was really quiet, gives a premium feel 👍

Ok. it still depends on what is your priority choices. E.g. Refinement, Handling, Power, Comfort, Features etc. What I can advise here is, if you are more into driving dynamics (Power, Handling will be the main choice) then CRV is a more engaging drive than the X70. But If you are more to comfort oriented, then the X70 is the choice. It has better overall NVH, better ride comfort, comfy seats and more features to play with. Other than that the CRV is more expensive and it is more spacious at the same time. Depends on your personal preference.

Hai bro previously you did a crv 1.5.tcp 2wd..what you feel different from this new crv facelift compare to previous..
It has been a while from the 2WD test drive. But I can clearly state that the 4WD variant is far more stable in doing cornering and high speed. At the same time you will felt the power delivery is not as urgent or agile as the 2WD (my feeling)

@Anthony Loh How does this engine compares to the toyota corolla cross in terms of engine smoothness, i.e cvt gear shifting, driving dynamics. (acceleration wise, i do know the 1.5T wins hands down.)
Overall engine and gearbox refinement I will give to Toyota Corolla Cross a bit more. Like you said power and driving dynamic probably the CRV still have a slight edge over the Cross.

Road noise are minimum. The sound insulation for this car is quite good actually.

How the cvt work in 4wd car??
Frankly saying I felt a bit of dragging. But nothing dramatic. For everyday usage it is just fine.
That Cvt gearbox is really loud under hard acceleration. That's one of the downsides of Cvts
This is why CVT still is my least favorite transmission. But we cannot denied it return the best fuel economy for most car with the setup. It applied to most people who do city majority.
