I have tried once to soak it in water for an hour or so but once dried it was just the same. I have never tried after crocheting the bag though. I have seen some videos where they soak the paper raffia and they say its softer but it didn't do anything when i tried it. So im not going to waste time soaking it anymore. The water does nothing to it, its safe to soak. Hope this helps 😅

How many meters is 250 grams??? All raffia yarn is sold by meters not grams.
The one im using here is called, papper raffia and is sold in chunks of 500 grs. This bag took half of it.
