    Mike is correct. Different roof system. And what sucks is that the roof is the part I need the video for.

      We just finished this. The roof was SO HARD. I’m pretty sure there is a video on here of the exact roof that this video is supposed to show. My tip is to put one side of the shingle in first and then pop the other side down. Then for those tiny pieces, the last one is the worst. But we used a broom handle under while someone from the top also used a broom handle to gentle guide it in. Hope this helps.

      @@beebeeflash2614 Thanks for the tip. I ended up using some gorilla tape to hold the roof panels Q1 and R1 together and then slid they right up the rails (part E) with not problem. Then rinsed and repeated for the other roof pieces Q2 and R2.

      @@kevinjackson2119 does the panel have to be completely set within the track? I cam slide Q1 in and the fabric part of the track covers the z-clip. But when I slide Q2 in place it pushes the fabric back into the track and the z-clip is exposed.
      Is that a problem? The video does not clearly show this part at all. smh!

    • @kevinjackson2119
      @kevinjackson2119 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ricardohartleyii1600 that's a good question. Is the z-clip exposed under the roof panel or on top of the roof panel?

    Someone mentioned using gorilla tape and it freaking works!!!!
    Tape R1 and Q1 together. One person guides it in while the other person makes sure it stays on track. Guide in the straight edge then pop in the curved edge. Make sure u tape them in place where the craft holes line up.
    Once u slide it in. U can use a knife to slice the tape and make it separate pieces if you’re struggling this the top not going in or the bottom. Hope that makes sense.

    Update: I followed the videos instructions (see previous comment for the correct video) and put the large Q roof piece in first and then the small R piece on top. Most went in easy, just had 2 that took a bit more time.
    My advice is to just hand tighten all the roof components until all the roof panels are in place, then go round and tighten everything up.
    I put the main frame up with just the odd bit of help in about 5 hours. Then the following day two of us took 3 hours to get all the roof panels in place, then a couple of hours fixing to the ground and putting the curtains and nets up.
    This was nowhere near as hard to put up as I’d read it would be. Looks like my father in law now wants one so I’ll be doing it all over again soon.

    At 4:30 he just shows snapping those roof brackets into place. In reality mine keep falling off or falling behind the channel and coming off the metal sheet. Did anyone use something to secure those brackets to the sheet metal, or are they meant to be this hard!? Also does anyone know if the metal brackets are supposed to be pushed behind the fuzzy hair stuff or not?

      Have the same problem I did not use anything to put them inplace I pushed them on all the way and they went in just fine you can also use tape on the back side so you can not see and do not have to take the tape off.

      @tommykelly8920 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@reviewit9529 thanks! I ended up doing the tape method on one side and then realized I didn't actually need those brackets. Afterwards I finished the remaining 3 sides without them and haven't had any leaks. Each of those sides went up so much faster without the brackets!

      Hi can you explain the tape method a bit more please I am just doing my roof and it’s so much frustrating they keep on falling and don’t go in properly especially on q3 and q4 and this is where I am at the minute thank you

    • @tommykelly8920
      @tommykelly8920 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FatherANDsons11 You just slide the brackets on and then take some electrical tape and place it over each connection point so that it stays in place while you push (but not so much that it can actually show once it's installed). It worked OK, but even with the tape mine was falling off sometimes, and I eventually realized it wasn't worth it.
      Interesting enoughly, if you install them upside down they work flawlessly and go directly into the channel (like they were designed that way). I actually installed an entire half panel that way before realizing they probably weren't needed at all and just not installing the rest. In my case, none of them leak, no matter which installation method I used, but your mileage may vary. I hope that helps!

      @@tommykelly8920 thank you for your quick response I just called the day after only doing one side and they did go into the channel but when you screw the panels them q3 and q4 they come back out do you think they will last or I should try different method q1 and q2 are perfect even that hairy borderline came outside of them.
      Let see what happens tomorrow I will definitely try all these different methods on rest of them thank you again

    I scanned my instruction book and this video popped up. The frame instructions was on point but the roof is different. The roof on the video is much more easier to install than the roof I have. I have half my roof on and the top triangles are not in place CAUSE THEY DON’T FIT SECURE!!! They need to stop selling the pergola with multiple pieces that supposedly slide into place without screws.

    Where sheets Q2 and Q3 overlap, the holes line up. However, these two holes do NOT line up with the threaded hole on the center rib. No matter how I maneuver the sheets, the threaded hole is not accurately beneath the Q2-Q3 holes.
    Should I drive a new hole into Q2-Q3 precisely above the threaded hole of the rib so I may screw the two sheets of metal into the threaded hole? ... and then cover the factory holes with putty or something else?
    Also, can Q2-Q3 be riveted together? Same applies to R2-R3.

      I'm just thoroughly disgusted with this gazebo. After getting sections Q1 and Q2 in, to keep them in place I had to attach the edge piece to keep them from sliding out so that I could insert R1. I can't get the R panel in place. Once I get one side in, the other edge overlaps by almost half the width of the tract. This was $1100 down the drain. I don't even want it anymore.
