    Thanks for the walk-through and tips, Jeremiah! My husband and I put our 11x14 Gazebo together in about 10 hours because of your help. All of our parts were in good shape except for a broken grommet on a curtain and customer service was super quick to respond, and very helpful. Now to see if it will make it through a winter with our solar panels dumping icy snow on it... that would be a miracle. Thanks again!!

    This video was great! Thanks so much for making this. I've been researching for months and had a few questions about the gazebo... how big the boxes were, how the gutters really worked in the rain, how much water gets inside from the sides. I was heavily considering putting it close to my house and wondered about the water from the roof. But I didn't consider the splashing from the roof. You showed and answered all of my outstanding questions. You literally covered everything. I think this is the gazebo for me. Thanks again!
    Purple Leaf he did great and just got you a new customer. Send this man a bonus and more lights to finish the other side 🙂

    Thank you for making this video, it was a tremendous help! My wife, three grandkids (8,9 & 10yrs of age) and I put it together this weekend, it took us 16 hours. I agree, only hand tighten, enough to hold in place and once done tighten all, especially the roof frame! The Z, Z1, Z2 parts could use some adhesive to hold them in place as they fall off very easily and makes you say things you shouldn't (lol). There were some parts that were slightly bent but the material is workable and easy to fix. Suggestion to all, once it arrives open a box to make sure you got the right color, I let mine sit for contractors that kept cancelling, 40 days later I opened it and it was the wrong color, could not wait any longer so I installed as is. Kudos to Purple Leaf for making easy to follow instructions!

    Thanks for the video, it has been helpful. I'm about to finish mine off today. A concern i have is about the gutters. The one i have doesn't have the little drain holes but they drain right into the hollow columns. Mine is under trees which drop all kinds of tiny berries and little leaves. It will get clogged quickly. I'm thinking of putting some sort of mesh filter to prevent that. Has anybody had this issue and what did you do if so?

    Fantastic! Ours just arrived (same model and dimensions )and we just got done staging all of the various parts and will be getting ready to assemble it. We are going to take our time and not worry about being done quickly. The only thing I have to figure out is how to drill the holes on our concrete patio for the mounting anchors.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will definitely need to use a hammer drill and masonry bit to drill the holes. I might use tapcons to mount mine but wedge anchors would be better.

Also those little sliders that we put onto the roof panels are a real pain to keep on. Any change with them would be good. Thanks for the video as is really prepared me for construction. God Bless.

    Awesome. Good product, and good installation instructions in this video. Couple questions - We live in Michigan and have good amount of snow. Will this roof hold up against snow ? And what about ice storms? Will this withstand ice buildup? Thanks for putting up this awesome video.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s rated for a 2500lb snow load but I haven’t had it throughout the winter yet so can’t confirm. If it were in a hail storm it would probably get dinged up because the roof metal is not very thick.

      It depends what you’re anchoring it down to but I used tapcons even though they are not really recommended you’re better off using actual concrete anchors in concrete.

    I just purchased this same gazebo should I get rubber washers for the bolts for the roof panels like you suggested???

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So far in my experience, it has not leave that much from the bolts, but definitely leaks from the balls on top. If you wanted to make sure it never leaked from the bolts i would.
      Either way, make sure you silicone the balls on top or put rubber washers under them as well because they will definitely leak.

    Thank you very much for this video! I’m currently at the steps where you install the larger panels and was extremely frustrated starting at the corners instead of the center pieces. As far as the panels go, do you just press in the flimsy clips into the grooves? I’m assuming once they’re locked in the groove with the grommet and bolt that they’re good to go?

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean the plastic pieces that clip on the angled part of the panels?

    • @Dexterlivesinusall
      @Dexterlivesinusall ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct. I started from the edges and couldn’t keep the clips inside the groove( kept popping off). I’m assuming starting from the center makes snapping them into the groove much easier?

      Yes had the same issue. This part was the most frustrating. I put in duct tape over the Z parts

    We just bought the same 12x16 gazebo and want to say thanks for a very informative video. My question is, how did you end up securing it to your patio? Like you, we are on a concrete patio and I’m thinking of expanding screws into the slab. What are your thoughts?

      I used tapcons but the expanding concrete anchors would definitely be better.

      We’ve just started installing the lower/main roof panels, did you screw/bolt them down as you went? Trying to figure out the best way to do it, and making sure to get the rubber spacers in as well.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you so much for the Super Thanks and your generosity Andrew! It’s greatly appreciated!!
      I put the screws in the panels as I went because It’s easier to reach the bolt and rubber underneath that way but didn’t tighten them until I had them all in one side. I did tighten the high bolt in the center when starting each side tho.
      You will need someone to hold the wrench on the nuts underneath when tightening if you leave them loose tho. Also start from the middle and work your way to each end it’s easier. It did seem like some of the bolt holes were a little hard to line up getting towards the end but I stuck a screwdriver in one hole and and used it as leverage to force the panel the way I needed it to while putting a screw in one of the other holes. Also, make sure you leave the bottom and middle row rails loose until you get all the bolts started and don’t tighten the roof bolts up too much at the end because it will crush the panels. Oh, I also left the top channel loose inside where the panel slides up into until the end in case I needed to push it up a little. Hope this helps and thanks again for the support!

    I'm strongly considering purchasing a Purple Leaf gazebo. Would you have any recommendations for anchoring it to a pre-existing composite deck? We're worried just screwing it into the deck boards may not secure it well enough in a strong wind. I'm also concerned about the 40mph wind limit. We've had some pretty strong winds this year in Ohio!

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could always put solid wood under the decking boards and then lag screw it down to those.

    Hi. I've only just seen your video. We also ordered a gazebo 10x14. Unfortunately, ours is already there and build up. We now have the problem that the roof is leaking. :( And we don't know why. We're assuming because we also made the mistake and didn't build the panels from the center but from left to right like you initially did. Does your roof leak? We just don't know what it could be. I would be very grateful for a feedback. Warm greetings from Germany.

      It is probably leaking around the fasteners because there is no gasket between the bolt head and sheeting.
