Faizon also played in Meteor Man, the Parenthood, as well as Money Talks, Don’t be a Menace, the Player’s Club, and several other films. Faizon is also writer, as he has written funny stuff for other people and comedians in mainstream comedies. Who has ever used any work produced by Aries outside of MadTV?
Aries might have had Jerry Maguire, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, and MadTV. However, he hasn’t had the success as Faizon, nor has he written material that is praiseworthy. I’ve never seen Aries’ name on any work other than the stuff that he makes independently (which usually ain’t worth a damn).
Aside from a few good impressions, most (if not all) of Aries skits/stand up routines are either questionable or plain unfunny. The mole$tation skits, as well as the gay rap skit (where he kisses a man on the mouth and simulates anal sex on another man) proves this fact. I’d pick Faizon over Aries any day.

The reason that Aries gets so much hate is because he doesn't have the respect of other Comedians, especially black ones. It's known throughout comedy that Aries rarely, if ever, has black Comedians open or feature for him. With the limited opportunities already, that's not something that will endure you amongst your peers. At the end of the day, he had a show, still working, and that's more than alot of comics will ever have. I gotta believe that there has to be some talent there, despite the criticism.
