The average income tax + other deductions is roughly 30%-40% in Canada. Make sure you file your income tax properly. The CRA is monitoring your bank accounts globally.

我系多倫多住咗30多年，想來移民要三思，搵工難，最低工資有大把，新移民想搵份好工難上加難，租金生活水準高，治安差，中國新移民吾識或英文差只可以去華人超市做最低薪時間長工作

溫哥華是很好.美景和有很多吃的選擇.但太貴了.我在多倫多這裡的Stratford生活指數比較平.
移民加拿大对first generation 肯定好tough，我觉得最主要系考虑second generation。香港优势持续减弱，可以大概目测下一代留香港的出路越来越少。而且成为加拿大公民以后去美国做野有TN签，都唔错。不过各人情况不一样，选择不一样。

多謝Carrie的消息，對某些欲去無門的香港人肯定是天大喜訊！現在英國加上加拿大的移民政策其實已涵蓋大部份香港人，97年或之前可用BNO，之後出世而又大學畢業5年內可選擇加拿大，伴侶或其家庭成員也可連帶受恵，現在主要的障礙並不是合乎資格與否，而是一個決定，去或留？！以大部份香港人的文化和教育背景，我深信無論英國或加拿大，都一定可以找到適合自己的位置，行李內最緊要放埋香港人的「拼搏精神」和「自強不息」，何需再憂慮太多呢！
受到Carrie分享這消息的喜悅所感染，我也禁不住吐槽幾句，其實我也是基仔的粉絲(希望唔好嚇親佢😱)，祝兩位在加拿大工作順利，生活愉快！
