Saba presents 'Few Good Things' The Short Film, directed by C.T. Robert
    Artist's Note from Saba
The concept of Few Good Things is the realization of self after a search for exterior fulfillment. It is the satisfaction and completeness you gain by simply living a life that is yours. Few is a small number, but few is not lonely. In the face of all adversity, a few good things is recognizing and accepting blessings. Few is to count them, one by one. An empty glass is full of air. An empty bank is full of lessons. An empty heart is full of memories. Few good things is to grow comfortable with the empty, and despite that, finding your fullness.
    Director's Note from C.T. Robert
As a storyteller, I've always been drawn to stories that attempt to identify what makes us who we are. The ones that ask questions like: What does having everything you need really look like? Is it sitting at a dinner table with your loved ones? Is it waking up next to the woman you love? Is it having cherished memories for all of those you care for, those still in the physical and those who passed on?
It's hard to pinpoint the exact answers to all these but we know that it's nothing that can be achieved from monetary fulfillment or anything materialistic. It's a weight that can only be carried with you through years of experiences and memories made from putting the time in with those around you. No amount of money could ever replace that. In this film we want to refocus the conversation surrounding these ideas and help shed light on what's really important in the grand scheme of it all.

I love the entire film but for me the interludes showing the locations (buildings, interiors, sunlight, people, etc) with the music playing is my fav.

i loved the entirety of it all but the imagery and the distortion of the song during the fear monger portion was really powerful and beautifully done

The entire film. Not just because I was in it. This is a beautiful visual from beginning to end.

The entire film and album are amazing. My fav part of the film is where 2012 plays. The aesthetics there, the family and friendly vibe it set and rawness to it was so, so good. 🌿

The whole film is fantastic all the way through. The man in the tank reminded me way too much of my father and the home reminded me of my grandma. My favorite part of your film are the parallels it has with my real life.

This nostalgia reminds me of my childhood growing up in Chicago. I always remember the sunshine and how it hit certain things while I'm reminiscing. I love how you all captured all of the little things like the interior inside grandma's house, and how you remember the little things like family just talking in the living room, the kind of shoes unc had on. 🥲 This short film combined with the album is a sensory overload that I am totally here for. It has me all in my nostalgia and feels. ❤ The short film is the Cherry and the album is the Sundae. Thank you for this entire project. Truly beautiful.

When 2012 came on, with the flashing photographs of your history, I almost lost it. 💧 That guitar was so heavenly and soothing and along with a premiere livestream it solidified greatness.

The whole project is beautiful. The film takes me to another place, free from my own restraints and demons. The smiles are infectuous, the soundtrack is perfect, and when the nostalgic photos come out during "2012" I lose myself to tears every time in a beautiful blend of hope and heartache. Skateboarding has always been therapy for me and Squeeks(&MfnMelo) EnRoute got me through a hard time last year, so seeing Walt and Squeek on stage with their skates hits in a real deep way. Taj, it has been an overly emotional last couple years for a lot of us, so I would like to personally thank you for giving us these cathartic pieces of expression to pull emotions out of us that we didnt know we need to deal with. Thank you. These are monumentally timeless pieces for many fans. Looking forward to seeing you in VanCity.

It was mentioned in the interview afterwards (which was great btw the three of y’all did very well).
One of my favorite things is the way the audience is able to place themselves into the growth, youth, love, community, nostalgia, questions and decisions. I was totally immersed into it. Within a few seconds I had felt like I had already been taken somewhere else. And by the end of it you’re just thinking about the people in your own life that probably need a phone call.
The premiere livestream night was a banging hit and really spoke to me.

This album is so insane. It has solidified my first experience driving my own car.. I'm so sad I won't get to see you in Manchester in March. But atleast my girlfriend can join me in September.

I loved EVERYTHING! But the part I enjoyed the most was the picture slideshow and guessing who was who, and who's parent (It was very easy to spot Joseph 😂)
