- I can't believe this day from my dreams! Join me for my first drive with the new Lamborghini Countach LPI800-4; the latest few-off series hypercar. I'm at the Lamborghini factory for a full experience of what the car is all about, heading up into the Italian mountains. Let's go!
Limited to only 112 customer cars, linking to the LP112 codename of the original Countach, this particular example is car 0, that Lamborghini have very kindly taken out from the Museum for this opportunity to share with you what it's all about. Following on the heels of the Reventon, Veneno, Centenario and Sian, it's the latest road going model from the series that also includes the track-only Sesto Elemento.
Powered by a 6.5l NA V12 with Lamborghini's Supercapacitor system that was introduced with the Sian and Sian Roadster, the Countach offers up 814hp and a top speed in excess of 355km/h (221mph). However, this is a car that tells an emotional story, 50 years after the first concept Countach was launched back in 1972; a model that lasted 16 years in production and set a very high bar for iconic supercars.
Visually, the new Countach features design elements from the likes of the P400/P500, Periscopio, 5000 Quattrovalvole, and 25th Anniversary editions of the original, while being based on the platform of the Aventador, which itself is soon to be superceded by a long-awaited new model. In many ways it's the last of an era, the last special vehicle on this platform, and one that brings a glorious heritage no with it.
This particular car is finished in Bianco Siderale over a red heritage interior; inspired by the spec of the very Countach owned by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself at the time. After taking a full walkaround to go through the specification and understand the details of the car, it's time to head into the hills to find some stunning scenery with the hills blanketed in a layer of snow. This is absolutely a day from my dreams; the car, location, experience, thank you to Lamborghini!

Definitely an exciting experience. Probably it wasn't expecting those weather conditions.......twisty hill roads surrounded by much more snow than in the Swiss Alps, behind the wheels of a limited edition, precious lambo. Not an ideal context for a drive like but what a scenery, what a view. White on white

Of all the cars I've watched Tim drive, over 8 years now, this is the first time in a while he's been giddy and excited. I think the 1 of 1 Egg was the last time you seemed this happy.
It's probably because he sees so many supercars, sportscars, etc. That he's very used to nice cars. And probably nice to get something new.

You should add Pagani, Ducati and MV Agusta to that list since they're not too far apart. If you're not into motorcycles, that visit will make you. A friend did it about 6 months ago n was absolutely mesmerized.

As a huge original Countach fan, I was sort of "meh" about this car when it was revealed at Pebble Beach, but it grew on me. Once I get over the differences between the two cars, I appreciate the lines and looks of the new one. I think calling it a Countach was ballsy on Lamborghini's part, but it's their model and they have a right to do what they want.
Re inventing the Countach is no different than new Fiat 500, the new mini, the new beetle, the new Ford GT.
Those have even been done multiple times each.
And IMHO it's a lot nicer homage than the fat electric mustang.
@@karstenpedersen7749 The E-Stang isn't meant as an homage to the Mustang. The Mustang still exists in its pony car configuration. The E-Stang is Ford trying to diversify and grow a model into a sports brand by making more than just coups. Much like Lamborghini did with the LM002 and now the Urus... or Porsche with the Cayenne and Panamera. They're models, not replacements.

The exterior driving segments were incredible and a good show of this car.
Saw this very same car in Monterey for Car Week when it was unveiled. Pictures & video do it ZERO justice! The body lines look so much more pronounced in person and you get a real sense of the scale of it. Pretty striking looking car. And it sounded phenomenal when they started it. Love all the throwback design details that pay tribute to various models of the original. As one Lamborghini rep said "This car is meant to capture the essence of the original in a modern form, not replace it". And I think they succeeded in that regard.

Just got around to seeing this video. The Countach sadly just comes off as an Aventador homage to the original Countach. But having said that, the Aventador is such an amazing machine. The sounds, the anger, the rawness is what makes these machines great.
Design wise they did an amazing job bringing the Countach design language to modern day. What an opportunity to drive his hybrid machine around the mountain passes near the factory. And this also explains how the SF90 tour went from France to the Dolomites!
since I saw this car at SOC Croatia in Zagreb it has become my favourite super car

At first I didn't know if I like the looks of that recreation of a classic, but the looks are really growing on me, especially in the white with black accents! I think that's going to be a nice collectible

I think this is one of or the best looking revamped classic cars across all manufacturer's. With that being said when you're looking at it from the front, it screams McLaren F1.

Is that stary light behind the silhouette of the Countach on the instrument cluster actually that bright or is that how the cam has captured it. I Hope its not as bright at night even with dim mode.

When I first saw a Countach as a kid I was blown away. My favourite lambo for sure.
I 1st saw this at F1rst Motors in Dubai then Miami Concours and it is beautiful. Pictures and videos don’t do it justice

to this day I still have no words to explain the happiness and thrill that a car gives me. the automotive world is unquestionably my biggest passion and area of interest and I dream a lot about owning an Aventador and taking it on these types of adventures, surrounded by beautiful scenery and experiencing the pure sensation of fulfillment that only a car like this can make possible.
