I swear this is from a place of humility because ive been playing about as long as you, but one thing my coach is always trying to do is fix my tempo. Like you, i grew up playing ultimate and have never been very patient because ultimate is very quick and decisive. I have a mentality sometimes that the quicker i swing, the less that can go wrong in between my back swing and forward swing. You seem to rush your back swing on your driver and thats when you pull it to the right. Especially when you're trying to kill the ball. Same as me. Maybe consider slowing down the back swing a little bit. Slower back swing does not mean less club speed. If anything its lets you load more efficiently. Watch how slow Ben's takeaway is. Just a humble thought from a big fan. Keep rocking it!
Ok, everyone knows that John Is a beast. But Ben is a freaking stud! Dudes out playing one of the worlds greatest sticks on some holes, whilst in Jordan’s and a stogie hanging out his mouth. I’m impressed by all three of y’alls play. Good stuff my dude!
Sweet content Brodie, but I agree with Ben. It's clear you've been playing golf for longer than 4 months. No need to lie about it to make yourself look better.... you're already better than 90% of golfers out there. Keep it up look forward to more content!
Ben is freaking good holy crap... Hes just chillin in some nice jordans playing some golf but hes playing like he should be a pro. Thats unreal how good they are. Brodie you're killin it also! Love the vids keep up the awesome work!
This is awesome seeing you play with 2 such amazing golfers, it must feel awesome hearing the compliments from them so often as well. Keep up the awesome work Brodie
Nice video Brodie and nice of Jon and Ben to play with you. Jon's a really nice guy and glad to have him hear in the USA. Thanks for the vid's and please keep up the great work Brodie!
it gets annoying when some people comment about how golf related vids should stay on the golf channel. If you don’t like the content, simply don’t watch the video. It’s Brodie’s channel and he can post whatever he wants! Loved this video!
Something so enjoyable about watching a pro play a normal round of golf. Great videos! Love the fact you showed just about every shot. Get so frustrated when people leave out shots you want to see. Thanks.
Not gonna lie... Jon's golf is so good it doesn't even phase me to see it... On the other hand, what's truly amazing is how Ben hits golf balls with a lit cigar in his mouth! That's crazy skill there!!!
@Damon Hargrave i mean the point is its misleading. Hes making it seem like hes a novice. Someone whos actually only played golf for 4 months isnt breaking 100
It's great to see how pros golf, outside of tour events. Brodie, I'd say you're doing better than holding your own, with these two guys! Great videos!!
So cool to watch a world class player play with a very good amateur in Ben and BS is playing well as well. This reminds me of playing with a couple guys at my club. Just a casual, fun round with guys who all love the game of golf. Another thing I want to add is I think I'm now a big fan of Jon Rahm, he seems so down to earth and nothing like the media tries to portray him as.
Honestly, I think there should have been way more of what happened at 13:29 where you get Jon Rahm to talk about strategy with each shot. We can all see Jon play golf every weekend, which is what you were mostly showing in these videos. We don't get to see Jon talk about shot selection all this strategy when we watch him on TV, but TH-cam is a perfect place for it.
If you watch the video I did with Austin Cook he does a lot of this. It was a pleasure to play with Jon and he definitely gave some tips and tricks along the way, but I was a guest of Jon and Ben here. I wasn't going to push for anything. Hope that makes sense.
A really good amateur golfer has one good swing that they use over and over. Maybe a couple variations on their wedge shots. A good pro can hit 4 or 5 different shots with every club. Truly amazing.
I don’t care how long you’ve been playing golf, you’re swing is solid! Let’s see...you three jacked the first hole, hit one or two in the junk and dropped on part one and missed that short birdie on this one and are +3 through 12? Pretty impressive in my books. Golf is hard...keep grinding Brodie. Love your golf stuff!
Some great golf for sure, And Ben defys the motto that you have to rotate the lower body in the downswing as he is hardly open at impact ,wheras Jon is about 30 deg open at impact , maybe that is the differance between the 2 players, great video.
I’ve been a caddy for the past 2 years at a private club in California and Ben is the kind of dude you dread getting. Just super cocky and you can never tell if he’s really happy or pissed.
Bro! What an awesome experience. That must've been so insane. I've ALWAYS wanted to play with a pro in real life rather than watch them on tv. Hopefully someday that dream will come true!
The closest I've come is playing with one of my good buddies. He played in college, and placed well in a lot of amateur events. He plays off a +2 handicap even after not playing competitively for 3 years, and its amazing to even watch him play. Couldn't imagine playing with a Tour guy.
Conor Bohman he had offers from a few big 10 schools but he went to a smaller school called Columbus State because they were a good school for the degree he wanted. Most pros I’m sure are +10 and above I bet. He’s a good coach too which is what he’s doing now. He wanted to become a teacher so he could coach high school golf and he can pick out the little intricacies in a swing. I’ve improved a bunch just playing with him
Ben's so chill he could birdie the course on a lawn chair with a beer in hand. Jon's ready for the next edition of The Match. Brodie man, most peeps who've played for YEARS would kill to have your game. Keep it rollin. You're a natural. Subbed!
Quick question, who is Ben? I know he owns the club, but did he play college, was he on the mini tours? Also brotha, your swing is pure. Once you get that touch down, you’re legit + handicap. That’s incredible for only 4 months. Keep the vids coming, love them.
I'm not trying to throw negative energy out there but why try to mislead by saying you've been golfing for 4 months? Does it make you feel better? I am a bit jealous you got to play that course with amazing golfers though I must admit. I live in mesa and always look at those courses but can't justify the cost to play. Thanks for the video man I enjoyed watching this :)
I have seen several comments about this. Honestly don't know why its bothering so many people. I can do a video talking about this topic if that would clear the air.
@@BrodieSmith I'm not really sure why it bothered. I guess just the idea of you misleading people. You have an amazing swing and there's no doubt about how athletic you are.
