But Streisand certainly understood, early on, the value of controlling the productions and career choices. And in the last several years, she's taken roles like the Fokkers movies and that Rogen vehicle, probably to pay some bills. I see Arte Johnson, pre Laugh-in, also paying dues here.

I was born in 1963. Dean Martin and Bob Hope looked crazy in those wigs and costumes. First time seeing stereo washboards.

She's a good Actor. This makes it easy to see why she demanded 'control' of her career and the material she performed. She was way ahead of her time.
