Hi Zhiyu Goh, indeed, we started using USB-C for MX Master 3 and also for MX Keys to make the recharging experience easier, now there is only one cable to use.
I've had every MX since MX Performance, Master 1, 2, and my Performance still works, never really had to buy new mouse, just did it 'coz Logi always had a good improvements, keep up the good work, and thanks for making my favorite mouse even better!

The new design and features are very tempting, however I can't quite justify buying one because my 4-year-old, office-worn, first-gen MX Master is stubbornly still alive and fully functional. Kudos to Logitech for the longevity of the MX series peripherals :)

How about the battery life ? I have used a Master 2S for a year and Logitech replaced a new one to me recently due to malfunction on gesture button ( a design issue). Now , I don't use that button to avoid the issue again ^^
@@Lala201192 The gesture / thumb button became stuck on mine too, but by the time it did, the mouse was already out of warranty. I opened up the chassis and stretched the plastic mechanism back so that it wouldn't constantly be pressing on the button at the bottom, but after a while it got stuck again. Eventually the soft-touch material the thumb button was made of lost its flexibility, and I ended up ripping that chunk of the chassis off completely. My mouse now has a big square-ish hole in the thumb area, and most of the soft-touch material on it is worn and torn from years of use, but the gesture button works flawlessly, as do all the other buttons, wheels, sensors and battery :) Speaking of which, the battery has aged very well. With four years of 9-hour, Monday-to-Friday use via wireless connection (unifying connector), I still get more than a month of use from full charge to full charge.

They replaced a new one for me when the mouse remained one month warranty so I almost have a new mouse for the second year ^^ I think this new mouse has been fixed the problem after a mass of complaints from customers

@@logitechsupport mx anywhere is the worst... i've got one, and it's still brand new, it doesn't have scroll button, it's a very bad idea to substitute it with fast scroll. But, I like my mx master 2, the best mouse ever.

@@logitechsupport Latency impacts everything done on a computer. I really hope you improve the performance on future mx master series of the latency. The sensor and scroll wheel where already fantastic. The only downside to the previous generation was not having USB C & big input delay from where you move the mouse and when you get a response on the monitor.
I love the MX Master, especially as an alternative for macOS, where I need a way to trigger OS gestures. However, my only real gripe has been the poor sensor. Does the MX Master 3 use the (Logitech) HERO sensor? Not only gamers want accurate sensors but those doing design work or those who work heavily that benefit from (and like having) a precise sensor.
Hi Alistair, the Mx Master 2S is a great mouse on its own. And with the new Mx Master 3 there are lot of good upgrades. To name a few. MX Master 3 has 4000 DPI and pixel perfect tracking. "Pixel perfect tracking" is vague and other than gaming mice the Logitech G division, I've not experienced any MX Master mouse with what I would determine to be precise tracking-lots of jitter and overly-smoothed rather than a more raw input from the sensor.

Admittedly, whilst the glass tracking is great, that's not the primary need for me. What I'm keen on are the ergonomics and OS integration for macOS but I'd still like something that tracks incredibly well. That, for me, would be my ideal productivity mouse.

Yes, the MX Master 3 does have a lot of great new features, like MagSpeed wheel, 4000 DPI, app based profiles, gestures, better design and form. But, the MX Master 2S is still a great Logitech mouse and you will still enjoy using it!
As of today, I have a Logitech Marathon M705, which also has this Hyper Scrolling. I use it on the ipad pro 2020 12.9 ", and hyper scrolling is even more fun with a 120Hz display.

Almost my dream office/productivity mouse; Logitech, I cannot give up side-tilt buttons on the main wheel. If tilting is not possible on this new MagSpeed wheel I would be happy with actual button on each side of the wheel.

It's a nice suggestion to have the tilt buttons on the main wheel and unfortunately, we do not have the tilt button on the main wheel as we have an improvised gesture button and a new thumb wheel. We have the back and forward buttons near the thumb which can be customized to give you many more functions.

It's basically your fault to get us hooked with your thumb buttons, side-tilt buttons and let our productivity skyrocket by using gesture buttons. My first wireless mouse I bought in 1999 was a Logitech Cordless Wheel Mouse which I still have and yes, it still works perfectly fine after 20 years. I never looked anywhere else for mouse and keyboard since then. I currently use M720 Triathlon and K580 combo for general use, i.e. not mentioning gaming peripherals I use. Setting forward, back, thumb and wheel buttons as gesture buttons allows me to use 20 commands easily on just mouse only. Adding one more layer by Fn button on keyboard provides 24 more commands. I constantly use these 44 commands/shortcuts on my mouse and tilt buttons are not even included in this total. So the more buttons my mouse has the better it's for my productivity. I now can't use anything else than Logitech mice and it's your fault. Therefore, please consider adding those tilt buttons on your next iteration of MX Master.

I have used the Logitech M705 with weaker left clicker because worn out after 7 years, while it was great battery life in one-two year with single charge. I think I'll upgrade to the MX Master 3 or G502 wireless. (I don't know what I pick one, because often I click and "multimedia" and "quick app" buttons on the mouse)

I think with the applications you work with the MX Master has lot of cool features to ease your experience with multimedia related work. The usability of the thumb wheel is improved by making it larger. The back and forward buttons are easy to access. The gesture button near the resting position of the thumb is more visible. Nice, my MX needs upgrading. I just got the G915 keyboard and its awesome. Is the MX Master 3 using the same lightspeed dongel? if so can they share the same as with unified dongle? Edit: found the page specification on logitech. Sadly it seems to use Bluetooth! Thats awful. I will never never get BT anything. It has lousy reliability. I love logitech accessories so i wish it would have either unified or the lightspeed dongel. Shame i cant buy this :(

Hi Logitech support, my office does not allow me to download 3rd party apps (i.e. the Logitech support app). Does that mean if i were to plug into my office computer, i wont have access to the thumb wheel functions and the thumb button as well? Am I able to configure it at home and bring it to the office? Does the settings stay on board the mouse via built in memory chip? Appreciate your advice!
Hey Elgin, since the mouse doesn't have an on board memory, the customization is PC specific and cannot be transferred to a different PC. However, the functions of the mouse such as the horizontal scroll and back & forward using the thumb buttons do not require you to install Logitech Options and will work on any PC. Master Mx 2S has a malfunction of Gesture Button. It is stuck and make your mouse not working cursor . I used it for 1 years until stop working and changed to the brand -new one by warranty service. I hope that the new generation has fixed this bug because this mouse is your most advanced mouse ! Logitech !

Can I save the profiles to the mouse? Will this have linux support? Those and the micro b port are the only things that annoy me about my Mx Master 2s.
Hello Mik, The MX Master 3 doesn't offer the ability the save profiles to the mouse itself, this is done through Options. Only our Logitech G mice stores the profiles on the mice themselves. Yes, Linux is supported, but we don't have Options available for Linux. The change from Micro-USB to USB-C was really also done because a lot of our customers had the same issue and we wanted to provide a better recharging experience when the MX Master 3 is used with MX Keys.

Hello Monil, DPI settings of MX Master 3 can be changed using Logitech Options software on Windows and mac. Unfortunately, we do not have any software from Logitech that allows you to change DPI settings on Ubuntu. You can use the mouse for normal functions and it works well.

Hey, the MX Keys can be connected via the included USB receiver or Bluetooth low energy technology. The USB-C cable can only be used as a charging cable for the device.

Hi Tijtij, unfortunately, the new MagSpeed wheel doesn't tilt, but the MX Master 3 has the large Thumb Wheel and also the ability to use gestures with the mouse. Is there something specific you were looking to do with a tilting wheel, maybe there is another way of doing it?
Well the most useful feature I have ever had on your Logitech mouse is the mouse wheel tilt. I’ll tell you why, if you set the tilt to swipe through your screens on a MacBook it become god like. Makes the track pad on the MacBook useless. The Logitech m720 does this perfectly, so well it actually feels natural and faster than a track pad.

Weird, because it's got two side buttons 😅 and a thumb button. Have you see pictures of it? The wheel can be disabled (go to Logitech Options and set it to do nothing).
Hi Liam, unfortunately, no. If you only have USB-C ports, then an option is to use Bluetooth instead. However, I see in your other comment that you had some issues using Flow together with Bluetooth. Maybe we can help you troubleshoot that issue, what type of Bluetooth dongle do you have on your computer? Have you tried to remove the Bluetooth pairing on the used computers and reconnect it?
Dear customer, the MX Master 3 works with the iPad but the software support is only available for the Windows and Mac OS. The device also works with the iPadOS 13.1 or later versions via Bluetooth but the software support is not available for iPad OS.
people can not press middle mouse with that much presure. Just baught and understand that middle mouse press needs more presure.(only person with less sensitive index finger). In next version please add middle mouse atleast tuch pad for spinning (no spin wheel please . ) Pressing and working is more for graphics people with middle mouse with index finger . Middle spinner width is very less in very mouse and pressing doing graphics on middle wheel (where we need actuall a button with touch for spinning ) is very complicated over years we feel the pain. After that here (mx3 mouse user) also the wheel press needs use presure on middle wheel. Please do solve this issue for these people who press middle mouse button more than left click needs middle tuch sensitive button not wheel . We love to see it in next version.

Hi Michael, the Mx Master 2s is very good choice indeed. We still use it and we are proud of it. However the Mx Master 3 has lot of cool features as well, the Mag-speed wheel is the best we have for scrolling through long documents , and sensor works on any surface, including glass. Battery life is great, and the extra buttons can be re-programmed in Office and Creativity apps with the Logitech Options software. You can upgrade to Mx Master 3 in the future. For now I am sure you will have great experience with the Mx Master 2s 😊

Hi Gabo, While the MX Master 3 is designed for right-handed users it is possible to use with a left hand, but not recommended due to the shape and form of the mouse. If you're looking for a left-handed mouse try checking some of our ambidextrous mice, such as the MX Anywhere 2S (Note: It still has right-handed back/forward buttons), M535 or M325. It would be recommendable to go to a shop and tryout the mice to see which mouse suites your needs the best😊

Regarding mouse design MX Master 2S have better modern design, it's looking more professional, premium and more expensive than Master 3S. Other features are same (battery, precision, etc.) New mouse is only for people looking for faster scroll and better position of back-forward buttons.
Hi Edin, you'll certainly have good experience with the MX Master 2s. However the new MX Master 3 does have a better scroll wheel, better access to the thumb wheel, back forward button but also great app-specific profiles thanks to the software . I am sure you will love it.
And to add to the previous comment, you dont need to tilt the wheel since there is the thumb wheel and you can customize the speed and direction of the wheel with the software 😉

Thank goodness I'm still in the return period for my MX Master 2S. That hunk of junk is going back -- had 2 of them and they both had raised sharp edges that catch the web between the thumb and pointer fingers. From what I've seen of the MX Master 3, it doesn't look like that ridge is there.

How about the battery life ? I have used a Master 2S for a year and Logitech replaced a new one to me recently due to malfunction on gesture button ( a design issue). Now , I don't use that button to avoid the issue again ^^
@@Lala201192 The gesture / thumb button became stuck on mine too, but by the time it did, the mouse was already out of warranty. I opened up the chassis and stretched the plastic mechanism back so that it wouldn't constantly be pressing on the button at the bottom, but after a while it got stuck again. Eventually the soft-touch material the thumb button was made of lost its flexibility, and I ended up ripping that chunk of the chassis off completely. My mouse now has a big square-ish hole in the thumb area, and most of the soft-touch material on it is worn and torn from years of use, but the gesture button works flawlessly, as do all the other buttons, wheels, sensors and battery :)
Speaking of which, the battery has aged very well. With four years of 9-hour, Monday-to-Friday use via wireless connection (unifying connector), I still get more than a month of use from full charge to full charge.

They replaced a new one for me when the mouse remained one month warranty so I almost have a new mouse for the second year ^^ I think this new mouse has been fixed the problem after a mass of complaints from customers

@@logitechsupport Latency impacts everything done on a computer. I really hope you improve the performance on future mx master series of the latency. The sensor and scroll wheel where already fantastic. The only downside to the previous generation was not having USB C & big input delay from where you move the mouse and when you get a response on the monitor.
I love the MX Master, especially as an alternative for macOS, where I need a way to trigger OS gestures.
However, my only real gripe has been the poor sensor. Does the MX Master 3 use the (Logitech) HERO sensor? Not only gamers want accurate sensors but those doing design work or those who work heavily that benefit from (and like having) a precise sensor.
Hi Alistair, the Mx Master 2S is a great mouse on its own. And with the new Mx Master 3 there are lot of good upgrades. To name a few. MX Master 3 has 4000 DPI and pixel perfect tracking. The sensor works on any surface, including glass

"Pixel perfect tracking" is vague and other than gaming mice the Logitech G division, I've not experienced any MX Master mouse with what I would determine to be precise tracking-lots of jitter and overly-smoothed rather than a more raw input from the sensor.
@@amharris the fact that they said it can track on glass means that it probably has a laser sensor like the mx2, so not very good for gaming.

Admittedly, whilst the glass tracking is great, that's not the primary need for me. What I'm keen on are the ergonomics and OS integration for macOS but I'd still like something that tracks incredibly well. That, for me, would be my ideal productivity mouse.

Yes, the MX Master 3 does have a lot of great new features, like MagSpeed wheel, 4000 DPI, app based profiles, gestures, better design and form. But, the MX Master 2S is still a great Logitech mouse and you will still enjoy using it!
As of today, I have a Logitech Marathon M705, which also has this Hyper Scrolling. I use it on the ipad pro 2020 12.9 ", and hyper scrolling is even more fun with a 120Hz display.

Almost my dream office/productivity mouse; Logitech, I cannot give up side-tilt buttons on the main wheel. If tilting is not possible on this new MagSpeed wheel I would be happy with actual button on each side of the wheel.

It's a nice suggestion to have the tilt buttons on the main wheel and unfortunately, we do not have the tilt button on the main wheel as we have an improvised gesture button and a new thumb wheel. We have the back and forward buttons near the thumb which can be customized to give you many more functions.

It's basically your fault to get us hooked with your thumb buttons, side-tilt buttons and let our productivity skyrocket by using gesture buttons.
My first wireless mouse I bought in 1999 was a Logitech Cordless Wheel Mouse which I still have and yes, it still works perfectly fine after 20 years. I never looked anywhere else for mouse and keyboard since then.
I currently use M720 Triathlon and K580 combo for general use, i.e. not mentioning gaming peripherals I use. Setting forward, back, thumb and wheel buttons as gesture buttons allows me to use 20 commands easily on just mouse only. Adding one more layer by Fn button on keyboard provides 24 more commands. I constantly use these 44 commands/shortcuts on my mouse and tilt buttons are not even included in this total. So the more buttons my mouse has the better it's for my productivity.
I now can't use anything else than Logitech mice and it's your fault. Therefore, please consider adding those tilt buttons on your next iteration of MX Master.

I have used the Logitech M705 with weaker left clicker because worn out after 7 years, while it was great battery life in one-two year with single charge.
I think I'll upgrade to the MX Master 3 or G502 wireless. (I don't know what I pick one, because often I click and "multimedia" and "quick app" buttons on the mouse)

I think with the applications you work with the MX Master has lot of cool features to ease your experience with multimedia related work. The usability of the thumb wheel is improved by making it larger. The back and forward buttons are easy to access. The gesture button near the resting position of the thumb is more visible. Please go ahead and make your choice.

Edit: found the page specification on logitech. Sadly it seems to use Bluetooth! Thats awful. I will never never get BT anything. It has lousy reliability. I love logitech accessories so i wish it would have either unified or the lightspeed dongel. Shame i cant buy this :(

Hi Logitech support, my office does not allow me to download 3rd party apps (i.e. the Logitech support app). Does that mean if i were to plug into my office computer, i wont have access to the thumb wheel functions and the thumb button as well? Am I able to configure it at home and bring it to the office? Does the settings stay on board the mouse via built in memory chip? Appreciate your advice!
Hey Elgin, since the mouse doesn't have an on board memory, the customization is PC specific and cannot be transferred to a different PC. However, the functions of the mouse such as the horizontal scroll and back & forward using the thumb buttons do not require you to install Logitech Options and will work on any PC. Master Mx 2S has a malfunction of Gesture Button. It is stuck and make your mouse not working cursor . I used it for 1 years until stop working and changed to the brand -new one by warranty service. Hello Mik, The MX Master 3 doesn't offer the ability the save profiles to the mouse itself, this is done through Options. Only our Logitech G mice stores the profiles on the mice themselves. Yes, Linux is supported, but we don't have Options available for Linux. The change from Micro-USB to USB-C was really also done because a lot of our customers had the same issue and we wanted to provide a better recharging experience when the MX Master 3 is used with MX Keys.

Never had problems like this, been using 1 gen and 2 gen for years.
There’s a few tutorials on TH-cam teaching you how to fix it. That’s how I managed to keep mine working until now.

Hello Monil, DPI settings of MX Master 3 can be changed using Logitech Options software on Windows and mac. Unfortunately, we do not have any software from Logitech that allows you to change DPI settings on Ubuntu. You can use the mouse for normal functions and it works well.

Can you tilt the mouse wheel?
Hi Tijtij, unfortunately, the new MagSpeed wheel doesn't tilt, but the MX Master 3 has the large Thumb Wheel and also the ability to use gestures with the mouse. Is there something specific you were looking to do with a tilting wheel, maybe there is another way of doing it?
Well the most useful feature I have ever had on your Logitech mouse is the mouse wheel tilt. I’ll tell you why, if you set the tilt to swipe through your screens on a MacBook it become god like. Makes the track pad on the MacBook useless. The Logitech m720 does this perfectly, so well it actually feels natural and faster than a track pad.
Can someone tell me why you should buy this instead of lets say G pro wiresless for work?
More buttons (more functions on the mouse) and ergonomically better for long work periods.

those thumb rolling buttons are the reason I'll never buy one..... and it still misses a side button....
Hey Allbbrz, we have improved the usability of the thumb wheel by making it larger. Regarding the side buttons, we have moved it below the thumb wheel to ease the access to those buttons. We have valued our customers feedback and improved these changes. Please do try this product. I am sure you will like the changes.
Weird, because it's got two side buttons 😅 and a thumb button. Have you see pictures of it? The wheel can be disabled (go to Logitech Options and set it to do nothing).

Hi Liam, unfortunately, no. If you only have USB-C ports, then an option is to use Bluetooth instead. However, I see in your other comment that you had some issues using Flow together with Bluetooth. Maybe we can help you troubleshoot that issue, what type of Bluetooth dongle do you have on your computer? Have you tried to remove the Bluetooth pairing on the used computers and reconnect it?
Does this mouse work on ipad?
Dear customer, the MX Master 3 works with the iPad but the software support is only available for the Windows and Mac OS. The device also works with the iPadOS 13.1 or later
versions via Bluetooth but the software support is not available for iPad OS.
people can not press middle mouse with that much presure. Just baught and understand that middle mouse press needs more presure.(only person with less sensitive index finger).
In next version please add middle mouse atleast tuch pad for spinning (no spin wheel please . ) Pressing and working is more for graphics people with middle mouse with index finger .
Middle spinner width is very less in very mouse and pressing doing graphics on middle wheel (where we need actuall a button with touch for spinning ) is very complicated over years we feel the pain.
After that here (mx3 mouse user) also the wheel press needs use presure on middle wheel.
Please do solve this issue for these people who press middle mouse button more than left click needs middle tuch sensitive button not wheel .

Hi Michael, the Mx Master 2s is very good choice indeed. We still use it and we are proud of it. However the Mx Master 3 has lot of cool features as well, the Mag-speed wheel is the best we have for scrolling through long documents
, and sensor works on any surface, including glass. Battery life is great, and the extra buttons can be re-programmed in Office and Creativity apps with the Logitech Options software. You can upgrade to Mx Master 3 in the future. For now I am sure you will have great experience with the Mx Master 2s 😊

Hi RapidfireMG, we have worked on the improving the design. The gesture button near the resting position of the thumb is more visible now. You can press and hold the gesture button and move the mouse from left to right to navigate through the desktop. There lot more features you can explore with MX Master 3. Please do give it a try 😊

Can this mouse be use by a left- handed person?
Hi Gabo, While the MX Master 3 is designed for right-handed users it is possible to use with a left hand, but not recommended due to the shape and form of the mouse. If you're looking for a left-handed mouse try checking some of our ambidextrous mice, such as the MX Anywhere 2S (Note: It still has right-handed back/forward buttons), M535 or M325. It would be recommendable to go to a shop and tryout the mice to see which mouse suites your needs the best😊

Regarding mouse design MX Master 2S have better modern design, it's looking more professional, premium and more expensive than Master 3S.
Other features are same (battery, precision, etc.) New mouse is only for people looking for faster scroll and better position of back-forward buttons.
Hi Edin, you'll certainly have good experience with the MX Master 2s. However the new MX Master 3 does have a better scroll wheel, better access to the thumb wheel, back forward button but also great app-specific profiles thanks to the software . I am sure you will love it.
And to add to the previous comment, you dont need to tilt the wheel since there is the thumb wheel and you can customize the speed and direction of the wheel with the software 😉

However whenever if you feel the need to upgrade you can go for the Mx Master 3. It does come with lot of new cool features, but i am sure you will enjoy.
Still no tilt right and left on the wheel like the anywhere s2? Seriously! And no ucb-c dongle!!!!!! Bluetooth with Macbook is not reliable at all.
I've never had Bluetooth issues with my MX master 2S on my MacBook Pro 2019...
Hi Ali Hamodi! Yes, the MX Master 3 doesn't, just like the 2S, have a tilt scroll wheel. But, it does have gestures, this allows you actually to have more functionality, since you can program gestures in all directions. Would that work for you? USB-C is something we included for the recharging cable so it's easier to recharge the MX Master 3 when used with our other products like the MX Keys or Craft. I'm sorry to hear that you have Bluetooth issues on your Macbook, have you tried to check this FAQ support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023195654 ?

Thank goodness I'm still in the return period for my MX Master 2S. That hunk of junk is going back -- had 2 of them and they both had raised sharp edges that catch the web between the thumb and pointer fingers. From what I've seen of the MX Master 3, it doesn't look like that ridge is there.
