I'm really impressed with how this robot is progressing. When do you think it will start walking? It would also be helpful if you post a cost breakdown for the parts. There's no point in purchasing the plans if it's going to cost me $20K US to build. Thanks - and keep up the good work!
You can get a rough estimate but there is always room to pay more. I saw only the hand finished at a store for around 1200eur. If you print it yourself you pay only the material. It should be way cheaper. You probably need 50 or more servos. This and the battery should be the highest cost. Battery will be around 2k eur. 50servo a ~30eur = 1500eur, 50kg filament lets say 1000eur. Maybe add another 1500eur for cables and hardware. I would say around 6k is a good price. Still very expensive. Still way less than what sanctuary, exrobot or tesla going to charge. The software is also all over the place.. will take some time to combine it, maybe not
@@downwindlee5950 Thanks for the rough order of magnitude estimate! Once the full-body design is complete, I'm thinking a lot of the movement can initially be programmed in a simulation.
@@pointandshootvideo i have not tried making robots move. Ill look around for a mid seized robot so some tryouts. Human seize maybe different to work with because of the weight
great job

Can it hold it’s own weight and walk?
😮👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Now put chatgpt in it, lets see what happens 😈
