If we look at 1:30, what was the bottom of the door is being supported by the two upright bars, each or which is pivoting about its mounting point on the frame. So the door width, the two uprights, and the line between the two pivot points, form a parallelogram. It's nominally a rectangle, but there's really nothing holding it in that shape. So one or other side of the door will typically rub against the frame, if not immediately, then after some wear has occurred in the pivots.

I removed 17 doors in a building the doors where caled RichardWillcox 98 glide i was told they where instaled during the first world war so ya springs are far from the best. the best is a counter balance system an estemated life cycle of 10milion modern doors have a 10k duty cycle avarage home about 10 years befor you need to change the springs.

Those are my favorite made garage doors you very seldom have to worry about them getting of track, if ever.

Hi The manual lock will be disconnected, the automation will keep the door secure.
