And if that happens, my father may get a chance for the first trial run (just saying hehehe) . Because those senior loco pilots of Howrah ER Suburban system who are used to Medha (ICF) EMU rake system. The learning curve to learn the Vande Bharat rake system is not that much steep. It's sad that the railway technology of Indian Railways is behind approx 20 years as compared to European and Japanese standards. (The comparison may be unfair).

But aajkal local me travel karta hoon hardly kisi train me announcement hoti hai voh bhi ekdam low volume me. Display boards kabhi chalate hai kabhi band hote hai. Not at all maintained the facility.
can you please give us some insights on 1. why vande Bharat sleeper class not being spoken about 2. why the focus is not to reach 200 to 220 kmph target...that itself is possible with current infrastructure...and will bring major trains into semi high speed category and drastically reducing travel time....
Only thing that is blocking Indian Railways to achieve & unlock 200kmph potential is the track alignment. Alignment is not straight enough to safely run a train at 200kmph. So, IR can only achive max 160kmph with all the latest technology installed and fencing both sides of the tracks.
1) bcs first target for railways is 75 VBs chair car version by 15 AUG 23 . once 75 train sets are delivered then work of sleeper VBs will start , as per GM of ICF said in an interview. 2)most probable reason is the congestion of routes ( very busy routes )where these trains will run . If this train runs at 200 -220 it has to overtake other slow trains multiple times which will cause delay of other trains as they have to go to loop line. If tracks are less congested ( very few trains running ) then it is possible to run VB at 220 and only at some section where tracks can support such speed. So it is not possible for IR to reduce the number of trains and for 1-2 trains to run at 220 kmph they have to design new propulsion system which will increase overall cost of trains . Note : IR wants 400 VBs and even slight increase in cost can be thousand of crores . You can't run ferrari in village and city roads of India . Only at highways. So what is sense of spending crores when you to roam within city.
if it runs on any area where there are no walla guarding the train/tracks, the train will take to time to turn red from white. Chala toh kahi bhi lo, par log apne gutke ke chaap har jagah denge.
Ye rake probably Dehli Bhopal section per chalna chahiye with the speed of 160 to 170kmph to hi maza aayga warna koi difference nahi hai sampoorna kranti aur vande Bharat express ki speed me
