  • How To Peg Soft beads? BnR soft beads from BnR tackle are among my favorite soft beads to use when it comes to Steelhead fishing with soft beads. They are easy to setup, and very effective whether bank fishing for steelhead or fishing beads for steelhead in a boat. Today i am going to show you how to peg BnR soft beads so you can get out there and start using this fun and effective Steelhead fishing technique.
    In fact Bead fishing works for Salmon, Steelhead, and Trout, making it a pretty versatile setup and a good one to know. The more fishing techniques you have in your arsenal, the better.
    I will cover the rest of the setup in another video, as well as other ways you can peg your soft bead, different ways to fish soft beads, and a bunch more steelhead fishing tips and techniques.

      I’m glad to know the video helped. They are pretty simple but it’s easy to be overwhelmed or have doubts on rigging them. Good luck out there! 🎣

    Just getting started on beads so thank you for this video …. What size bead would be good for small rivers ?

    • @AnglingAddictsPNW
      @AnglingAddictsPNW  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Big beads can still work in small rivers but depending on clarity and flow, I’d probably fish a 10 up to a 14. Even in clear water I don’t really go smaller than a 10mm.

      Haha no need to ask for clarification. Pretty sure we use the same terms… kinda like I hook a lot of fish when I’m twitching jigs but I only actually catch a couple. Good luck out there and thanks for watching

      @@AnglingAddictsPNW use a rod that's a bit longer and moderate fast and you will get better landing ratio with twitching.

    I’ve never understood how the fish gets hooked if they bite the bead and it’s 5 inches from the hook…

    • @AnglingAddictsPNW
      @AnglingAddictsPNW  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of the time they bite the bead, which leaves the hook just outside their mouth, and when the hook is set it pulls into their mouth/lip, ultimately almost always leaving a clean hook set

      @@AnglingAddictsPNW ahhhh, it slides down. I imagined the bead to be a little more secure on the line. Thanks for solving that mystery for me, haha.

      @@scottbeauchamp5488well, ideally they’d be stationary, which is why hard beads work just as well, but without any give…

    New Zealand Fish & Game changed the rules when they saw people doing a similar setup. Now the bead has to be connected to the hook. I'm sure those pissed off about this will all have to learn the bait loop knot now.. Who knows why places change the rules. oh well..

    Not good for fly lines rots cause 5he stopper would slice up and down while fly line is being cast😊

    Those T stops are garbage. They do not hold well at all. Good instructional video though.

    • @AnglingAddictsPNW

      I’ve really only had problems with them sliding when I go super light on my leader. I’ve definitely heard a lot of mixed reviews on them though. What do you use?

      @@AnglingAddictsPNW I like the t stop I just am not a fan of bnr bead consistency and density. I feel like they slip passed the stop because they are too soft.
