- Hi guys! In today's Ukulele review I'm showing you the Kala KA-SSEBY-B-CE Solid Spruce Top Striped Ebony Baritone Ukulele Cutaway w/ EQ!
These Kala SSEBY-B-CE are by far the best selling Baritone that I sell under $400. The solid Spruce top is known for its clarity, and dynamic range and response while ebony provides strong bass presence and responsive highs for a well-rounded sound profile.
This was and is one of my favorite baritones that I carry. I really like the solid Spruce top, the cutaway, the striped ebony back and sides and the upgraded Fishman pickup.
Since solid Spruce wood is a live wood where the tone explodes off the soundboard and this is really important on a baritone because it helps eliminate the low end "thud" that some baritones have.
