    Another great video! I have never used rip in Sheet metal before, or for that matter the whole workflow practice of unfolding a shape. Thank you for demonstrating!

      To be honest I don't use the rip command often, I usually draw direct sheet metal as I plan the flat pattern in my head as I draw. The rip command is great when you are receive a component model and need to convert it for cutting without adding the time it would take to redraw it from scratch. A good example is a chute for a grain hopper. Thanks for the comment.

    Hi Martin, just wanted to say thank you for a very informative video that get's straight to the point. I use the sheet-metal feature quite a lot but am always learning new tips and tricks.

      Hi Rich, The sheet metal feature is excellent but I am also learning tricks and tips from different clients / users everyday. In the manufacturing process everyone has there own tricks and tips of how to do things faster some related solely to the machine that is used for manufacture, (drawing differently for a metal punching machine compared to a plasma cutting machine). It is interesting to see the variations and how people apply them. Thanks for the comment.
