- Journalist Responder Tom F. shares his personal story of September 11th in his 9/11 Tribute Museum presentation of "We Were There" onstage at the National September 11th Memorial Museum.
Tom was at his home on 9/11 when the first plane flew over his apartment. He got on his bicycle and went to the site, hiring a cameraman on the spot to shoot until the South Tower came down. He turned his notes from that day into a poem called "Bikeman" and published it several years later to help him through what he had witnessed. He reads a few passages from the book. One describes the descent of a woman who jumped from the towers, another describes a woman who tried to enter the North Tower where she thought her child was.
