There will be many people that knock on A&H purely because they use yamaha, digico, etc, but the fact is that they are a great versatile console for many applications. Just used it on a school musical with 20 radio mics and a band and it worked fine. I also just used it in a 2000 seat gymnasium with a lectern, few radio mic inputs and a band and it worked perfectly. An SQ5 will far exceed your expectations in that price bracket and will be something that'll be fun to mix on. An AB168 and an AR2412 stage box and you've got a great compact little rig.
