Wonderful. One of the greats of any time. In all my years of hearing Hindustani Vocal (40 years) I have never heard a voice as sonorous, as suggestive of cosmic melodies, as Rashid Khan's. Powerful exploration of base notes and ability to bring out the full range of sweetness that the melody of the raag provides. His voice fuses deep male timbre with an expressive sweetness. I hope he sustains his talent for a long time, even now.
No doubt it is wonderful experience to listen to Ustad Rashid Khan. He is one of the best in the industry today. The more I listen to him my respect for him increase. This Puriya Dhanashree is my favorite raga. It sounds very fresh and uplift your mood. In Hindi Songs "Aake Teri Bahome ye sham lage Sinduri" is my favorite song based on this raga.
Very true... U have summarized it so well......The combination of Rashid Khan and Puriya Dhanshree Raga takes one to the divine world.... Puriya Dhanashree is my favorite Raag...such deep feelings it generates in the heart.... Bengali singer Sriradha's rendition of Hindi song "LABON SE CHUM LO" in Raag Puriya Dhanashree is what exposed me first time to Puriya Dhanashree....

My favorite raaga, Puriya Dhanashree..So intense, so touching..never fails to make eyes moist if u r a music lover,am Indian,Maharashtra n remember 2 of my fav songs based in this raaga, Dayaaghana, and Jivalaaga..Awesome raaga
rashid khan ji, you are beyond any comparison, what a voice, what rendering, what feeling? you are incomparable! i have not seen anyone like you, y god!! in classical music you are my inspiration, beyond anything i can ever describe :)

only foolish people comment to these grt singer's singings. ie- wow, excellent, great etc.who r we to comment to these singer's videos. before commenting we need to lift ourselves to grt high levels but then also we can't reach to these singers level. I think we shd always learn something from these singings and not try to judge and rank them because we r at very low level from them
