Beautiful tank. Can you please share the name and the place from where you got the aquarium stand in the video. I really like it but am not able to find it anywhere.
@@franciscogomez3053that’s not true lol it depends on what you need your lights to do or not do. There’s so much that goes into your lights needing enough blue, white, red or green.
Now that you’ve done saltwater, I have a suggestion. Brackish water, specifically Opae Ula shrimp (assuming you can legally have them where you live). The salinity they live at is either too high or too low for plants and macroalgae. I’d love to see how you take up the challenge with the limit of rocks, sand, algae that forms naturally and possibly things like driftwood or coral
@@shannarafryer3111 It does not do great, but it is been there for a couple of months already and not dying... after some experimenting the point is salinity on the higher end (opae doing great) and some minimal but existing amounts of nutrients for chaeto (trumpet snails plus adding residual nutrients).
Except he’s going to have to add pods weekly in a small set up like this to keep them alive. Scooters don’t have the same stomachs that other fish do. They need to constantly eat
I have both saltwater and freshwater tropical and I can tell you now that saltwater is less maintenance. The only problem with saltwater is things cost a lot more.
can I ask how you think saltwater is less maintenance? if your saltwater tank isn't smaller than the freshwater I cant see how they are easier to have then freshwater. As to me saltwater is about the same as freshwater you just have to mix the salt and pay more attention to perimeters.
Man I saw a video like almost identical to this one and there is nothing wrong with that but all the comments were trashing him for adding the salt after the water, it made me kind of mad how many people were attacking him.

I really like this. One thing ive always found unappealing about marine setups is the lighting. This looks far more natural.
pls dont let washed out blue LEDs speak for the marine hobby. alot of us prefer a more neutral lighting look.
The blue light is for coral growth
@@ParkerLewis411 depends on the lighting system.the cheaper the lights the faker it looks

I love this!! Please more saltwater set ups!

I am keeping opae with caheto macroalgae succesfully
@@nomasdf that’s amazing, for a lot of people it dies off

Got to say scooter blennies are the PERFECT fish for that kind of setup!
Except he’s going to have to add pods weekly in a small set up like this to keep them alive. Scooters don’t have the same stomachs that other fish do. They need to constantly eat
Nice vid. Gives a glimpse of how to put up a saltwater aquarium which I definitely need right now ❤

Nice tank! Hope u get into corals next❤
This looks great!
That tank looks awesome and no purplish blue hideous light. clear like the real ocean.
These shorts are fun…glad you made the plunge into saltwater. 🧂
Congratulations, you just made a saltwater tank look like a freshwater tank
Alresdy a master at your first try!
Tell me you know nothing about saltwater tanks without telling me
Nice documentation
great video
Gonna be interesting to keep that tank balanced with it being so small. Smaller tanks are harder than big ones. Looks good though
How so if your working with less water?
Hi! This species of fish needs to consume a LOT of copepods, so just account for that! This tank looks great!
Very nice I’ve been fresh water forever. This inspired me to try saltwater 👍
A fish with hands you added into this set up. The red fish with hands looks so goofy.
I wanna start a saltwater aquarium but I don’t wanna mess it up
You might need an out of water section for the min skipper
Beautiful
Nice tank u should add a bit of coral
That's cool great job👍.
Beautiful 🐠 ...what glue do you use?
Wow, how can u keep them without skimmer?
Man I saw a video like almost identical to this one and there is nothing wrong with that but all the comments were trashing him for adding the salt after the water, it made me kind of mad how many people were attacking him.
Coral? no thanks, give me plants to my saltwater tank kkkkk
I REALLY hope this isn’t actually day 1 of the tank ….
What kind of seaweeds are those and are they real?
sea lettuce, dragon's nest macro algae, dragon's tongue macroalgae
Beautiful. Did you have concerns about it being a smaller aquarium? I've heard it makes parameters more difficult to control
Yeah people say the same about freshwater ;) I don't think it's much of an issue to be honest
@@MJAquascaping I'm sure with your experience and patience, success is much closer from the beginning.
"The master has failed more times than the novice has tried"
Isn't crazy glue semitoxic?
What kind of plants ?
Are they saltwater plants?
sea lettuce, dragon's nest macro algae, dragon's tongue macroalgae
Have you had any problems with the lava rocks leeching contaminants like silicates and heavy metals?
No issues at all 😊👍🏻
Think volcanic islands
@@dickbutt7854 ?
Quick question: How big is that tank, and where'd you get it?
Any updates on this project?
love the macro algae! What type of stone is that?
It’s called relief stone, basically a fancy type of lava
@@MJAquascaping looks great! Also what are those red fish? I tried finding them online, but don’t see anything like them!
The fish is a ruby red dragonet goby
Don’t mind me asking is sea salt safe for crabs because I want to make saltwater for my crab
If you mean cooking sea salt, then yes it’s safe, but no it wont make proper saltwater.
What were those little micro creatures in the tank and is there a website that you would recommend for them
What is the maximum tds level of water to keep clown fish healthy
Great for a betta fish (real) 🔥🔥
not in saltwater 😂
@@kirachouinard3490 There is a marine betta (Calloplesiops altivelis), but it grows nearly 8 inches long.
Hey may i ask what plants are used in this tank?
sea lettuce, dragon's nest macro algae, dragon's tongue macroalgae
Whats the glue i can use for sticking rocks
The equipments you are using are simular to planted tank's.
Did you just put table salt in there
no it's reef salt
table salt will kill your reef tank or macroalgae tank
What kind of water did you use in your tank?
saltwater
What kind of rocks are those?
What is the sand look like that stuff that my mom put in the washer and dryer?
Can you inject co2 on Saltwater?
CO2 dosing is virtually nonexistent in the saltwater hobby, though it has been used in seagrass aquaria.
These red mandrins aren't good fish for new aqairums. They need seasoned systems with LOTS of micro organisms to eat
What fish are those
What's the fish at the end?
🎉🎉👍 👍 👍
Why in The first glimpse I saw a huge poop in The tank?😅😅 Sorry bro
Does it needs co2
Nope :)
That is lava rock do not use for a coral tank
it is a macroalgae tank
it’s not a coral tank…
Macro not Micro got it
Glue is bad for fishes
You make a lot of nice tanks but that rock structure looks like a big pile of poo.
