This is a demanding book. When its crispy clean they will be a drumline that will challenge the top end. It will be clean by August no doubt. Im impressed.
I'm black and couldn't care less about the diversity in their line. Pretty sure they don't care either. It's all about competence and teamwork. Results matter. Only results.
OK, I feel better now. I seriously thought that I kept hearing dirt during the warm ups and kept saying to myself "is it really that dirty?" Glad I wasnt the only one hearing it. Haha
there is not one single core warm up I have ever seen or the tempo of the lead snare is ever taken check the temple given stop dragging it to the first tempo of the first go-round of the exercise please take the tempo given dragging
Percussionists are a different breed
Mmmmm Phantom's snare tuning is always my favorite... It's weird but the only way I can describe it is that it sounds like sugar :p
Phantom and also Spirit of Atlanta. Spirit knows how to tune some snares
It's called playing with a Pearl Drumline.
Me too
Its pearl drums. I always called that snare sound wet.
It’s the snare gut response. If you know how to tune/adjust the guts correctly, you get no overtone and never need any muffling.

Thanks!
Ryan Pride is such a great tech! He has a lot of experience and it shows!
Pride was my percussion director at Katy High School. The man is a genius.. 🙌
Still sounds the same as it did when I was playing back in the early 1980's. I sure love that sound!!
can't describe how much I love their show music. I must learn it. this might end up being my favorite show with drums like this
Definitely a lot of space for improvement but it’s barely June so no doubt this will be nice
Indeed
this book is pretty difficult too. i'm sure they'll smooth it out
Can't wait to see you playing any of this dude. Looking forward to the videos. //\\//\\
Otherwise, shush.
That’s the crazy thing. Can’t wait to see how this sounds once they smooth it all out🔥
@@petertaydus6330 did that really offend you?
Even through my tinny iPhone speakers those drums sound incredible.
Those basses sound so crispy. Love the tuning!!
Phantom has one funky looking line this year.
The only corps besides Legends that I look forward to every year anymore. Love phantom.
love how the spike is tuned on the tenors
Thank you all for keeping traditional grip alive! Very well done!
But why tho
Quel régal de pouvoir écouter Phantom régiment depuis la France. Bravo !!!! .....
Yaaaassss, Phantom. Love seeing diversity of their line too.

Amazing sounding drums played by great musicians
Lmfao why is the show music so much more cleaner than their warm ups?
OK, I feel better now. I seriously thought that I kept hearing dirt during the warm ups and kept saying to myself "is it really that dirty?" Glad I wasnt the only one hearing it. Haha
Those basses are nice.
I would hate to have a camera watching me warm up... I’m excited for PR! Let’s go!

You can actually hear the Spock’s and they’re not tuned out by the snares

What is the device on the bag on the floor beside the conductor?
李立峰 DB-90
That BGzzz at 5:36 tho
Black long-sleeve tops w/ gauntlets and overlay. Well, at least they aren't going to be playing outside in the heat.

Pearl drums all the way!
👀👀
MY BOY CHRISTIAN GO COOGS 🐾
👀
Tenors & Basses are eating good.
Snares maybe dirty, but, quads are tight.
Is Bret Kuhn still writing?
Jonathan Bowen Rob Ferguson wrote the book. The last time Brett wrote for PR was 2016. He wrote the battery parts and Rob wrote the pit parts.
Rattle snakes all over this corp..... so so so sick!
It’s great to see more black dudes going to DCI. I’ve seen way to many great hands of color not doing dci.
there is not one single core warm up I have ever seen or the tempo of the lead snare is ever taken check the temple given stop dragging it to the first tempo of the first go-round of the exercise please take the tempo given dragging
What?
You’re either having a stroke or just stupid
@@bluedevilsdrummer I think he wrote it with like his face or something

@DMark1 wait so outside of work and school, these guys dedicate their time doing this? 0_o

Same arranger
