Just put it in a crusher then a shredder after fluids are drained. They can separate the materials in the prosses. Why waste the time trying to save the wiring. That is labor cost !!!

Because a clean waste stream is worth a lot more than a contaminated waste stream. Japan goes considerably further than this in their car recycling and a lot of it is done by hand or by skilled equipment operators.
