The reason I really like the OTIS Series 1 elevators is that their model designs were really fitting for the 1990s. I am also familiar with it from my childhood because there's actually a medical building (two levels) that opened circa 1995-96, which is next door to a hospital (three levels), which opened in 1992, down the street from where I live, and my dad had a physician (who isn't there anymore) when I was a little kid. I have also been a patient of that medical plaza's staff and they are very nice people. As of 2021, the elevator in the medical plaza is still original and intact (which gives off that mid-late 90s vibe), just the way I like it (as long as it's properly maintained regularly). The main elevators in the hospital itself, on the other hand, were upgraded at some point a couple years ago.
Very elegant and soft lift! I've seen one of these units (same model) in Brazil, I can't remember where or when, but I've ridden one of these some times.
